Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I paid the courier charges & have got a receipt for that too. Honestly though I am against this idea. They could have offered free accessories or something that is related to a motorcycle. Like a free extended warranty or a free teflon coat or may be extra services free of cost.Originally posted by deepakshankar View PostNow this is news to me Suzuki giving freebies till now no mention of such freebies nor has anyone received till my knowledge goes. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi all.. Any suggestions on this? Sometimes, I feel the engine lags mainly during 2nd and 3rd gear! Around 3000 rpm. Shifts back to normal after a second or two! Did any one come across this?Originally posted by padmanaban View PostHi guys, I have been riding my Gixxer for two weeks now. I see a problem and i need your help on this. During the gearshifts mostly for first and second, i feel engine lags down a bit, sometimes drags badly (like the last moment when fuels runs out) and then picks up better when i give much higher throttle than what is required during gear shifts.. Can i know why is that happening?

Do this happen during initial run? Do you ride in reserve?Originally posted by padmanaban View PostHi all.. Any suggestions on this? Sometimes, I feel the engine lags mainly during 2nd and 3rd gear! Around 3000 rpm. Shifts back to normal after a second or two! Did any one come across this?

gixxer 155 owners: How is the braking in wet conditions? And by wet conditions I mean when the brake pads and rims are wet.You see things vacationing on a motorcycle in a way that is completely different from any other. In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV. You're a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. ~Robert Pirsig

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Completed 200kms in last 8 days. My daily commute is around 46kms. I tend to keep rpm range within 3000-3500. I still haven't received owner manual hence am not aware of the optimum driving nature. I tend to keep speed below 50kmph at 5th gear.
Noticed few things...
When at signal, when I shift from neutral to first and release the clutch, the engine for a moment looses power as if it is going to shutoff.. Unless after I give some throttle (keeping below 4k).
Shifting particularly from 4 th to 3rd is really hard than for other gears..
Ppl say it is buttet smooth...it is but o feel some vibes on my toes and hands.
Do u guys experience the same behavior??? Pls help me whether my driving nature is proper. Thanks

Did 400 km trip to Kashid Beach (Mumbai) on Gixxer from Pune. Started from Pune via Chinchwad-Lonavala-Khopoli-Pen-Roha-Murud. Man it was thrilling experience to ride on Roha Ghats. I was able to pull bike on 3rd Gear at 30 kmph with a pillion rider of 80kg Comfortably and was driving below 7.5k rpm. While leaving murud i completed 1600 kms and was happy that now i can open fulll Throttle but I noticed one thing that i was not able to rev over 7.5k rpm. So waiting for my 2nd Service hope the prob will get solved.

If this is referring to a mild kicking in the engine during the 2nd gear...then yes, i have experienced it as well.Originally posted by padmanaban View PostHi all.. Any suggestions on this? Hey guys,
I will be taking my bike for her 1st service tomorrow.
Anything of importance to be taken care of and noted. Any suggestions.
Engine oil is '10w40'??. Also will ask them to check brake pads and wheel alignment. And also adjust play on the throttle cable(feel my throttle is a bit too much play)
