Don't know about Gixxer. But fz v2 uses Revz-Y.

If both are same, how would they look different.
You might have looked at them from different angles.

The tyre on FZ-v1 is much flatter. Don't confuse between the two.

    Ride safe and have fun.

Sorry guys, my bad. Its revz-M in Gixxer. Just checked the Manual. Sorry for the wrong info.
      Thanks for pointing me out.

The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Damnn.... MRF is really confusing with all its Revz-S,Revz-C,Revz-M....!! Every new bike introduce new specs of tyre.

Only Revz- FZ v1 per 2012
          Revz-M - FZ v1 2012 onwards.
          Revz-S - R15 v2 130 section tyre.
          Revz-Y - FZ v2

Its written on the tyre wall itself.

Revz-Y is better than Revz-M and both are better than Revz.

Don't get confused. Check the product specifications and the manual.

Mrf is not confusing but the fact is that the FZS rims are wider than gixxer (rear) which spreads the tyre more causing it to look flat. They wanted the gixxer to have a rounder tyre profile.
I was confused too so I did a little bit of my own research. I think the tyre size and profile is a bit different for both bikes too regardless of make. Correct me if I'm wrong.

So is Revz-Y is the best of MRF till date? Comparing wet and dry grip, durability etc?

Well, i can only give initial impressions of the Revz-Y tyre as i have used it only for a few hundred kms. But its definitely better than the older Revz models. Much rounder and wet grip is also really good.
Btw, Revz-M is also more or less the same as Revz-Y, just a little bit flatter (but not much). So no worries there.

Yes, Revz-Y is best for grip. But since it is flatter, cornering is a bit difficult. Also, due to more area of contact (hence more frictional resistance) reduces the fuel efficiency and is more prone to punctures.
On the other hand, Revz-M is good for cornering due to round profile but straight line braking eats-up more meters.

                      Wrong!
Revz-Y has more rounder profile than Revz-M.
Also, Revz-Y is the latest Revz series tyre and is much better than Revz-M. It is also more puncture resistant.
You are confusing between the two.

                        Hi.

I'm from Chennai & very much interested in buying Gixxer but i want to know the real figure of mileage given by Gixxer. My riding is only within the city but close to 80-100 Kms per day. I'm into sales. I know that mileage may vary due to different riding style. My riding is normal & no hard acceleration. If the mileage is decent i'll definitely consider buying this bike.

Also i want to tell you that i'm 6.2" & lean. I got a short distance test ride from ABT suzuki, teynampet. I'm not able to judge the riding comfort. Give me overall feedback about your bike.
                        Just follow my shadow.

I dont understand what you mean by real figure of mileage. On an average people have getting mileage between 45-55 kmpl. Some members have reported 60 if i am not wrong.Worst case it has been around 35.Overall feedback has been on positive side everyone loves this.Since you are on sales and drive long distances talk to ABT and take a drive of atleast 5-6 kms and decide

Thanks for your information. Real figure means : the exact mileage ( say 45 or 46 Kmpl ) under normal riding style without any sudden pickup & maximum speed of 60 Km per Hr. What about the riding comfort. Where you bought your bike in chennai ? Main concern is mileage.

                            Thanks in advance.

If your concern is mileage don't worry if you drive it sanely and take good care returns would be great. Riding comfort is excellent no issues. I purchased mine from SMK Suzuki porur as Abt was having issues in procurement then
