BTW will fitting Roots vibromini 2.5ah dual horn need a relay?? What exactly is a relay ? A capacitor like thing or a start stop type mechanism (dual horn) that activates a horn stopping the other horn and vice versa to make paaa puuu type sounds .

The first time I saw the faired gixxer pic, my heart twiched a bit because my gixxer is just 2 months old and now there was a new horse in the stable.
Anyways, I recently did a detailed research on relays.
They're more or less a remotely controlled switch which takes off the load from the circuit.
For example, in a relay connected horn, when you push the button, it activates a magnetic field in the relay coil. That pulls another switch and the horn circuit is activated. Now the current flows from the battery to the horn via the relay. The button and the wires to it are spared from the load.
They don't amplify the current.

So will the dual horn + relay work from my default horn switch or I need to press some other switch for horn??

Relays can't amplify power. I said "it increases power output to" which basically means it cuts out the system in the middle to deliver power efficiently to the device that needs it.

I only replied coz I think you comment was directed at me. If not forget I said anything.

Yes, you'll press the bike's stock horn switch only. I prefer Balgi 's idea of installing it with an auxillary switch to alternate between the stock and roots horn.

Sorry bro if it seemed so but your post came while I was writing mine. I read yours only after I had posted mine. And yes you're correct. As it bypasses all other electricals, it efficiently delivers the current directly to the device with maximum possible output.

What if I connect it in this way.

Default horn output -relay- dual horns.

About price, expect around 6-7k increase. Can't say about mileage because engine specs are unknown. If its the same, expect a 5-8kmpl drop in mileage. Conversion seems eaisier. But hey, I'm just assuming these things only by looking at a spy pic. :P
I don't think suzuki will take such long time to launch faired version because it will not be a completely new bike.

You can't connect it that way i.e. to the output. Relays are connected to the battery, horn and the switch at the same time. Also there is some additional wiring to be done to connect the relay.

Its not about the point. Its about the wattage that you should consider. It'll depend upon the rating of your horn. Better ask the shopkeeper where you'll buy the relay. A 4-point relay is more commonly available I guess.

I'm gonna install Roots Vibromini 2.5 ah 12V horn in gixxer. How to do . Shopkeepers here sell things, don't know how they are installed. And garage people just cut main wiring harness which I don't want in my new bike

Yes. Oil was changed in the first service. Should i change now or change when the second service is due at 3500kms?

Also, what are the ideal no. of kms when we are supposed to change the oil?
