I want to upgrade my headlight, and am considering getting an LED bulb from aliexpress. But, it looks a little big to me, and I'm not sure if it'll fit.
Could anyone who's opened the headlight tell me if there's enough space for this bulb?

LED/HID lamps on a bike without a projector will blind other road users. Also see if the light has a flood pattern or spot pattern.
LEDs may be bright, but that doesn't translate to road illumination. Check the intensity in lumens before buying.

It's 3600 lumens (@30w), and the colour temperature I intend to get is 4300k.
The bulb is also constructed the same way as a halogen, so all the light on road comes from the reflector, and not directly from the bulb itself. I don't think I'll need a projector for it, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

Good to know but I feel it won't spread uniformly without a projector. Also, what heat sink do you plan for? LEDs run very hot and reflector melting is a possibility.

It comes with a heatsink, and is a new model that doesn't require a fan.
Btw, LED's don't run hot, but they get damaged at high temps. They run much cooler than halogens, but if the circuitry isn't cooled, the bulbs will go bust.

Yes you're right. It was a wrong choice of words. I meant heat emissions. You can go for it if it has a heat sink.

I'm also planning to change my gixxy's headlight. Can anyone tell me the type of socket ( like H1, H4, H11 ) I guess H4...

Over all pretty satisfied with its highspeed performance & stability at highspeeds.
Do you think gixxer sf can overcome crosswinds and windblasts easily?

                    It's HS1. But it's compatible with H4.

Was confused between glass sparkle black and the metallic triton blue with moto gp inspired livery...
Finally ordered the blue gixxy... Can't wait to swing my legs over that beauty

Did my White Gixxer's 2nd service at 3800+kms last Saturday. The bill amount was Rs. 499/- Asked them not to do water wash and got the bike in 1 and half hours.
All going fine with the bike. The mileage was dropping to <45 for the past 2 weeks or so and they adjusted the clutch play. Lets see what change it makes.
Its pretty tough to keep the bike around 5k rpm where I was getting 50+kmpl. Anyways 45kmpl with bit of spirited driving is very acceptable for the awesome performance it offers.

Also got to see the SF in person and below are some observations.
                            1. Deliveries not yet started due to RTO formalities yet to be completed by Suzuki.
                            2. Bike looks fantastic and well proportioned. Blue is awesome. White feels a bit letdown due to the grey lower half of faring. Should have been full white like the full blue. Dint get to see black in person, but that has to be the best color for SF.
                            3. The chrome exhaust tip on the Gixxer feels a lot more premium than the aluminium type in SF. But they said it was done to differentiate the SF when viewed from behind.
                            3. No TD bikes, also due to issue with registration in RTO.
                            4. Everything in the faring is plug and play with the naked gixxer except one piece to be welded in the fork right below the key slot. This will house the metal extension rod which holds the front of the faring and the console. Just one small welding needs to be done and then it'll be very easy to install the faring. So expecting to see a lot of Gixxers to become SFs in the near future.
                            5. Have been promised by them to be the first to receive a call when the full faring arrives as an accessory.

I will get this faring fixed as soon as it is available and of course if priced below 10k.

                              Sup fellas!

Forgot to mention that last week I tested the SF. Although not drastically different, the front end is simply out of this world.
Not to diss my naked version, its frond end stability is also nice, and can stay at 0 with both feet up.
But the sf i felt was another step up. Must be the combination of a more rigid handlebar and added front weight. It really is awesome the amount of stability and confidence it inspires.

Are you sure because according to the media statement issued by Suzuki, the fairing is not a retrofit. So it won't be plug-n-play with he Gixxer. Source : Suzuki Gixxer SF Review: Everything You Need To Know
