y do you owners of gixxer claim 50 or above milage ? Its a powerful bike compared to my Unicorn which gives close to 50 !

i suggested my friend to buy it as its got more power than FZs v2.0 and probably more milage
but his lack of knowledge and lust for fz he chose fz

Complain to suzuki regarding this poor quality paint job if possible with pics.
This is not at all expected from suzuki. My friends gs150r engine paint is still in good condition after 3 years of purchase.

Cool bike there dynamo. Feel that the gixxer which comes with with no graphics really is classy when compared to the FZ & Pulsars.
Thought the Blue is the best looker, I feel white would be even more exclusive.
I had a blue TVS Flame before buying the gixxer, so ruled out blue and I checked which are the least selling colors in gixxer and then finalized white.[emoji3]



There is not a mandate we should use SemiSynthetic(SS) or FullySynthetic(FS) post a particular KMS.

As per my knowledge, the mineral oils are best during running in period as they allow faster mating of the new engine parts compared to SS or FS oils. Break in period becomes more when FS oil is used from the beginning due to its superior lubricating property.

I would say post 5-7k kms, ie when the engine is perfectly set, we can safely move to SS or FS oils. The FS oils have better consistency of viscosity compared to the mineral or SS oils at higher temperatures.

Also SS oils give you longer oil change interval due to its superior consistency. But if your annual usage is below 7 or 8k kms, better stick to mineral as we need to go for an oil change either 8-10kms or 1yr whichever is earlier for FS oil.

and lately ive been thinking that each bike should have a poll on milage which shows right above threads of reapective bikes so that one can come to know about average of bike by average of people

I think it depends on which batch your bike was manufactured. Havent found any rusting or paint problems in mine.
They probably cut a few corners in a rush to meet the demand. Poor job any which way you look at it though.

Go for Gixxer. Mine is now two months old. I bought it from VTJ Suzuki, maradu, kochi. Not so impressed with the SVC.... But madly in love with the bike...
