Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
[QUOTE=vjay;1130642]what is acceleration level..??
and how can u adjust the throttle play..?? [emoji53][/QUOTE
Hi vjay
Acceleration level is just the throttle you swing in. It respond to the action immediately if you set it without ply. To adjust ply, check acceleration cable from top ( near throttle ) there is a rubber covered the lock nut & u can adjust it as per your requirement. But keep some normal ply ( looseness)Just follow my shadow.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys, how to set the rpm indicator on gixxer .
I wasted 170 on reflective tape which I couldn't put cleanly ,I guess without the applicator tool it too messy to do so . I am thinking of getting suzuki sticker on the grab rails & tank rubber pad , handle grip .I already ordered the mesh seat cover for 500 . Today I removed the rear fender so now my rear tire is more visible love those huge wheels
of my gixxer .

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I'm considering buying this bike, but I'm torn between it and the Pulsar NS200. I've only ridden a motorcycle a couple of times before, and that was 7-8 years ago, so your advice will be really helpful to me.
I want to use the bike for riding all over India, including the Himalayas, so the some of deciding factors for me are reliability, power, ability to cruise at high speeds, comfort and fuel efficiency.
I've gone through this thread, and it seems this bikes reliable, comfortable for the rider, and okay for the pillion, and it's suspension's decent.
The questions I couldn't get answered from reading the thread were:
1) Optimal cruising speed for the bike - the highest speed at which the bike feels stable where the engine doesn't feel taxed. The speed at which you could travel for hours on end.
2) The FE at those speeds. I believe the Gixxer can give about 50-55km/l on the highway, but at what speed would that be? Could I get those figures at 90-100km/hr?
3) Does the bike have enough power to go over steep inclines without losing speed, or do you need to downshift. I'll be travelling with a pillion and luggage, so our combined weight would be close to 160 kilos.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
For all your requirements, the Gixxer is the wrong bike for you! This is primarily designed to be a city bike. Not a tourer. From my experience with it so far, it can do highway runs without problems but off-roading on this, I doubt that. You need bigger capacity, stronger bikes with better ground clearance to take on the Himalayas. The underbelly of this bike hits almost all poorly designed speed breakers in the city if you don't cross over it at less than 10 kmph. On city conditions this bike is reliable and fuel efficient when ridden around the 60 kmph mark.Originally posted by chats View PostI'm considering buying this bike, but I'm torn between it and the Pulsar NS200. 1] You can easily cruise at 80-100 kmph without any noticeable strain from the engine in highways. Beyond that it will struggle a bit to touch 115 to 120 max.
2] Mileage will drop to around 40-ish with that speeds.
3] You indeed will have to downshift with that amount of weight! Even in city conditions riding solo, I find the 5th gear lacking power when the road ahead is slightly uphill(lot of review websites mentioned this and I feel it is true after owning one) I weigh 67 kgs.
For all your requirements, I feel the Pulsar 200NS is a better choice. Bigger engine, better ground clearance, better availability of service centers/spares across India etc all work in it's favour!Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
How many kms you covered ? I have a hero xtreme, when it was new gear shifts were hard and also 5th gear was slipping. I waited for the engine to settle after 3000 kms gears are butter smooth and no more gear slipping. So give the engine and gear box to settle in completely.Originally posted by papillon2 View PostSUZUKI IS A CHEATER GEAR SHIFTS ARE HARDER believe me and they don't have answer this. have changed some parts of bike in showroom not satisfied please new buyers don't fall in trap by riding td bike...I am experiencing problems with gear
