Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Is it few of us or majority who are getting a consistently good mileage? My baby has run 2K KMs and is consistently giving ~50 KMPL. And I do full city driving and not "uncle" style. Is it about the tuning the SVC is doing? Before 1st service I got around 45 (reserve to reserve method) and after they tuned it its now ~55kmpl.Originally posted by sandeepcf View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Whoa!!!55kmpl in city is too much. Is your tyre pressure correct? My tyre pressure was 41rear,35front from showroom and I corrected it after some 1000kms(thanks to the members who discovered this).Originally posted by dneel View PostIs it few of us or majority who are getting a consistently good mileage? In my case the mileage was not consistent until the last 300kms. My mileage progress report card started from 39, 42, 43, 45 and 51+kmpl(o'course Uncle style).
I tried to tune the carb to leaner side(just 1 full turn of fuel screw) when I was getting a low mileage but there was an apparent loss of power, so I retuned to original setting.

Gixxer is actually a baby of this GSX-R1000 ,It has inherited many similarity of this beast .
Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects the handlebars to the saddle :)

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
If you ask me, 55kmpl in city is not too much considering my p180 giving the same under sedate city rides.. Still, for a performance 150cc gixxer, 55kmpl is an awesome mileage. Congrats guys.. BTW, for carb tuning, try 1/8th turns instead of full turns. This actually helps fine tune the carb if done properly..Originally posted by sandeepcf View PostWhoa!!!55kmpl in city is too much. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello guys,
on 13 February 2015 I have bought my new Suzuki Gixxer in blue. I am just enjoying its ride.... Its a beauty.....
But I am facing some hard gear shifting, i thnk as it is new so i am having this, i just rode 150 kms till now.
I wanted to know how to ride it means which gear to use on which speeds?
what should be front and rear tyre pressure?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
It's a new bike, so gear shifts will be a little hard! If not raise the issue in your first service. Some of them have got a clutch spring replaced and gear shifts are smooth for them after that. Tyre pressure front 29 psi, rear 33 psi.Originally posted by zeeshan4u View PostHello guys,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys, My first service was done on saturday. Bill was around 500. Gave the bike @ 9am and got it back by 11.15. Stayed there and got it back.
The first tank fill gave 50.xxx and the 2nd tank full has given 49.xxx.
Both are before 1st service. For the first 800kms, I never crossed 4500 rpm and after, that till 1000 did not cross 6000 rpm.
Post the service i'm now driving closer to the 7000rpm limit which is mentioned in the manual for upto 1600kms.
Lets see the real numbers now.
I did a oil change @ 500kms separately & now done @ 1000kms service. I plan to do it again @ 1750-2000kms.Last edited by swami.n; 02-16-2015, 01:34 PM.

Buddy...Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostWhat the hell u can easily touch max 6.5- 7k rpm all the time as your bike has completed 2k kms. Excercise the engine more frequently it does help in the good performance during the long runs. If you still drive in the low rpm range the engine will surely suffer from the drop in performance at higher rpms experienced the same in my 220fi.
Refer the manual for run in instructions & various rpm numbers at specific kms.
Raised the complaint regarding the paint peel off issue on the engine in the suzuki website the svc head called me & told me to come svc as soon as possible. To my surprise they changed the whole clutch case of my bike with the brand new bikes clutch case. Suzuki customer care center rocks
far better than the bajaj.
Here is the pic of new clutch case.

Just to get this straight.. You complained on the website about the paint peeling off...
And in response they fixed that and changed the whole clutch case as well?[emoji15]
What does the clutch case have to do with this...? Please help explain?
Also I frequently experience my bike slipping g from 2nd back to neutral...should I have mine checked? SVC guys said no issue!!
Also..can you please share the link?
Edit: iam such a fool. Read casing and interpreted as the whole drive train system???
But, any reason/issues I face sudden slips back from 2nd into neutral?Last edited by radikel; 02-16-2015, 04:07 PM.

Feedback | Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited here is the link in which i raised the complaint.
post your problem in the above link mentioning your city & svc details with in a day you will get a call from the svc itself to visit them as soon as possible.
Belive me suzuki is very strict and serious regarding the customer feedback they will definetly help to vanish the issues that the owners are facing.Last edited by truelypulsarian; 02-16-2015, 08:46 PM.PULSAR 180 DTSI- 2007

Well,Originally posted by Phoenix11 View PostGuys...any idea whether below displayed belly pan cum engine guard can be bought from somewhere??

Also, radikel : Dude..can you suggest a good showroom-cum-SVC in Bangalore to purchase the bike next month?
I can't comment on other dealers bro.
But I bought from 9-star Suzuki on sarjapur road. Their main branch is hosa road.
They been pretty upfront and honest so far. Not much to complain really.
Either get from 9star or Aryan. Have heard a lot mainly of these two.
Edit: that belly pan makes the bike sooo damn sexy[emoji7]
