I am really afraid that you will not get any help from svc guys or suzuki in this matter.
Any top quality paint cannot hold strong to plastic parts. In your case the backpack fabric caused the effect of sandpaper. If you observe your picture closely the loaded backpack might have rubbed the tail section up and down(paint lost both at top and bottom).

Good to know that your paint peeling problem got solved.
what is that plastic cover on the console? Is it for safety from scratches? Man you seriously love the console. I bought a cheap screen guard for 10" tablet and cut it in the shape of the console display and applied it.
I cant describe the sound exactly other member who posted this one is KYPA may be he can explain the sound in brief.
Its definetly not the irritating rattling sounds from the loose nuts but some thing else causing this dont know what might be the culprit or it isa common one confused.
The plastic cover on the console is the one fitted from the factory itself dont want to remove it early in order to prevent scratches.

Hey guys!I have been following this thread since a month and have gone through every post. Also have been through every possible review-written/video about Gixxer.Personally, I don't find the Gixxer thaaaat attractive. I find it a bit on the skinnier side(like me! :P ). Nevertheless, as an overall package concerning a biking experience, from all the various reviews and experiences I have heard, it seems to be a great bike. I am moving to Bangalore in March and will need to get a bike once I set up base over there. I have been on the lookout for a good bike since quite sometime. My dilemma was always between FZ 16(now FZ 2.0), Apache RTR 160 and Gixxer. I might go in for the Gixxer afterall! Now, I need your help with regards to the showroom that I should choose for purchasing my Gixxer in Bangalore. As per the folks from the city, which would they advice(quicker availability and good service wise)? I am still confused between Blue and Red. And, what exactly is the final price I need to shell out as per the showroom folks in Bangalore?I have ridden a lot of bikes, but at 26, this would be the very first bike I would be owning - all self financed(I hope! ). I am 5'11 and about 68 Kgs, so I suppose this bike would be alright me. Will take a test ride once I'm in Bangalore, but till then I'll blindly rely on you folks.Thanks.

Welcome to the highest taxed state in India!

Without any additional accessories, the Gixxer should cost you something around Rs.91500 on road(including RTO charges), give or take a few hundred rupees.

Add a thousand or two depending on what accessories you want! As for the showroom, I got mine from Value Suzuki in Bangalore Cantonment. Nothing much to write about them. Neutral experience. Other Bangalore members should be able to give you inputs about showrooms they purchased from.

Buddy just go to the suzuki india website & post the same thing in the feed back details. This type of the quality is not at all expected from the suzuki. Just question the suzuki regarding the paint quality.

To all gixxer owners who are facing this paint quality issues & other issues can register your complaint here dont forget to mention your dealer name.

no need to post the pics man just post your issue thats it. But it should be like a strong warning to the suzuki regarding the paint quality.

I think that is the strong stain on the gear lever did u try cleaning it with water?

Remove the cover soon or else it could stick to the console due to heat during day time. Had a similar experience on my bike's rear number plate.

I'm planning to do simple stickering on my bike. Can anyone post some pics ( specially white Gixxer's ) i'll get some idea.

I've an idea. Is't possible to fit the TVS Apache RTR's engine guard to Gixxer...

This is my first post, but I have been following this forum closely. I got my Gixxer on Jan 1st and I just completed 950kms on it. Enjoyed every bit of it!

Currently Im looking to change the handle bar grip.
Found some interesting ones in aliexpress.com.

Universal Motorcycle handlebar grip grips handle bar girp premium handlebar grips 7/8'' CNC 22MM 6 colors for option-in Grips from Automobiles & Motorcycles on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group

But im not sure if this will fit on the Gixxer. Any one already tried changing their handlebars?
