Hmmm.. Is it the spring only? because I once had a similar problem with downshifting in my Unicorn and the mechanic changed a small part which has a tiny wheel. It was on the right side only and was under the gear shaft which was extended from left to right.
The service center people in my town are ...Jaffas. I will try Vijayawada in my next service. Thank You.

How to clean the air filter ourselves? I don't have an air hose. Also, what is the recommended km gap for lubing the chain? And how do i do that too on my own?
Sometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

I have faced hard shifts be it down or up for the first 1000kms only and after changing to Synthetics, the problem is reduced by almost 70%. But since I was accustomed to the butter smooth shifts in Unicorn, I am looking for options to bring the shifting smoothness close to Unicorn. Also I am thinking of changing the clutch lever to Unicorn's if possible. The clutch lever in Unicorn is flat and very easy to grip and press. I live in Guntur.

No need to change the cables man Just ask them to change the spring inside the clutch case Which is connected internally to the gear shaft Iam also not sure what it is & the exact location. It will solve the hard gear shifts issue completly.
VjY is near to your place u can try in that svc if your nearest svc are helpless.

                Hello,

Does anyone experience leg, back, shoulder or wrist pain on rides above 30km? How is the seating and ride quality for riders around or above 6 feet? How is the comfort compared to GS150r?

                Thanks!

I was talking about the possibility of changing the "Clutch Lever" to Unicorn's and not cables.

                      Hi,
I have been following this thread and its been quite useful. Plan to book my gixxer, black from kochi. Please provide your valuable inputs as to which showroom is better VTJ Suzuki or Manikandan. After sales experience if any, service feedbacks will be quite useful. Thank you.

5th and 2nd gear are not displaying, first the display unit was changed but that did not fix the issue. Now they are going to replace the wiring.

                          True.. I too feel same.
Sometimes bike feels so smooth and sometimes it is harsh.

Did you visit service center for this issue? What did they said? got any solution?

The bike has started vibrating now. It doesn\'t vibrate on high rpms but on 3-4k rpm in the first and second gear mainly which is bugging me a lot.
Also the mileage figures are not satisfactory yet. Still getting around 35kmpl. Also sometimes the bike is not smooth enough. I don\'t know if it\'s me but somedays the bike feels super smooth and some days it feels as if this is the harshest bike. Maybe this is because of the extreme winters here and the engine doesn\'t get enough heat. My exhaust note has also become a lot harsh now, not sure why they is. I followed the run in period properly according to the manual.

Also, should i change my oil from the stock one to something different?
                          Thanks in advance

Srinath, i have owned suzuki gs150 R, and ridden for 53,000 kilometers, i can definitely say its one of the leader in comfortable cruiser bike. small potholes, roadhumps are not at all an issue. I sold it and purchased Gixxer, its sporty, and powerful, and i am riding from past 1 month, its not as comfortable as Gs150. i don't feel any pain either back pain or leg pain, but overall comfort Gs150 is no doubt no.1. But many features like handling, DC headlight, design, tubeless tyre, superb console gixxer is better.

If the gears are hard we can think that the bike is new so it needs time to setin properly. But what we have to think if a particular gear is not engaging at all in its respective slot???
The pulsar engines have smooth gear shifting even the engine is brand new.
