In the manual its just mentioned that ride below 4.5 rpm for the first 800kms.
The engine used to raise 2-3k rpm after heating so i manually adjusted the rpm.
The gear shifts are very hard especially the downshifts. Apart from this every thing is well & good as expected.

Even I have issue of hard shifts (2nd, 3rd and 4th cog both while Up and Down Shifts). When I try to downshift rapidly for sudden stops, the gears doesn\\\\\\\'t slot in properly.
I have also tightened the clutch cable(as per manual) a bit still that doesn\\\\\\\'t help.
I have completed the 1st service at 800KM. Still the issue is not fixed. I Have completed 1200 KM as of now.
I had complained about the issue to the SVC guys but there a Mech told it\\\\\\\'s the faulty Toe shifter mechanism.
He told he will replace it in next service if issue persists. Don\\\\\\\'t now if that\\\\\\\'s the case though.
Someone in this post had mentioned that he used Quartz 9000 oil and that solved many of the issues with gear shifts.
May be switcing to SS/FS will solve the issue??? Or is the Gearbox faulty?? Please share your thoughts guys.

For me the up shifts are ok but downshifts specially when downshifting from 3rd to 2nd or from 4th to 3rd is some what difficult i have to put some extra pressure while doing downshifts particularly in the above mentioned conditions.

The tyre pressure is too high its above 40 in the rear & in the front too its higher than 40. Doesnt these suzuki dealers check the tyre pressure before the delivery?

Anyway corrected the psi to 28 in the front and 32 in the rear. Apart from the hard gear shifts every thing is great but i think the gear box has to settle down as my bike is only 50+ kms old.
Let the other owners comment on the gear shifts part who are finished 2k kms.

Do you know what type is the factory filled oil? is it mineral or suzuki motul?

When i did the test drive of the new fz v2.0 the gear shifts are also hard as its a very brand new bike iam the first one to had a test drive in that showroom & also the engine is not much refined as the suzuki.

But when compared to pulsar engines these japanese powerhouses are gem with very fine refinement

Completed over 4k kilometres now. The bike is great. The gearshifts are also smooth. But
The bike has started vibrating now. It doesn\'t vibrate on high rpms but on 3-4k rpm in the first and second gear mainly which is bugging me a lot.
Also the mileage figures are not satisfactory yet. Still getting around 35kmpl. Also sometimes the bike is not smooth enough. I don\'t know if it\'s me but somedays the bike feels super smooth and some days it feels as if this is the harshest bike. Maybe this is because of the extreme winters here and the engine doesn\'t get enough heat. My exhaust note has also become a lot harsh now, not sure why they is. I followed the run in period properly according to the manual.

Also, should i change my oil from the stock one to something different?
                  Thanks in advance
                  Happy Riding

How many oil changes happened in your 4000kms? Don\'t say only one change in the first service.
I am currently using 5w40 for the past 500kms and I am very happy with it. I am thinking of testing 10w30.
Harshness may be caused by Oil or improper carburetor tuning. Since you are getting only 35kmpl please check the Airfilter and TUNE the carburetor.

I \'ve completed 1600 kms. The gear shifts were hard, so Ive changed the oil to Mobil 10w40 at 500kms with no improvement at all. So I again changed the oil to Total Quartz 9000 5w40 at 1000+kms and there was an immediate improvement in gear shifting. But compared to Unicorn the gearshifts are only 50% smoother.
Hope this condition would improve after some kms. My friend\'s NS had very hard shifts until 5000kms.

I don\'t know why Motul is so much over rated and Castrol is so much under rated in this forum.
I\'ve used Motul 300v in Unicorn, Fazer.. my friend in his 200NS - Nothing special.
I think factory fill would be Motul Suzuki Oil(as mentioned in the owners manual - specially made for GS150R).
Quartz 9000 costs Rs.1180 and I got it for Rs.900 from the ELF/Total dealer of my city. This is a car oil but my previous experiences with diesel oils made me try this.
I will drain this oil store it and try 10w30 before summer.

                              Guys, couple of questions...

Anyone tried using SPEED petrol or any other higher Octane fuel?? Any improvements seen??

                              Any types of additives used?

The SC guys told me not to use oil for chain lubrication....he recommended to use the Motul chain spray...he told using oil directly will cause the O-rings to bloat? Is it true?
During first servicing he used chain spray but still the chain was not cleaned properly...

Also he charged me 66 bucks for gasket replacement and 75 bucks for chain spray...did he looted me?

                                Front-36psi Rear-41psi
Corrected the pressure to 29/33, now the bike is toooo smooth with lessened feedback(not liking it).

Again changed engine oil from Total Quartz 9000 to Honda Throttle 10w30.

I observed this in my oil cap

Some websites say it is common thing called emulsification and it occurs because the engine is not heated enough.
Anyone observed this in your bikes.
This happened with Total Quartz and also with Honda Throttle.
