Chennai... My beast is cmng on jan 15 but I am living nearby seashore so i am asking for anti rust spray to avoid such issues....

Hi, I bought the bike from "Saboo Suzuki" dealer. It's located in Rani Gunj near Hussain Sagar. Although I live in Madhapur, I bought from them because they had a blue model available already; Midas had no available blue model available that time. I did my first servicing from Saboo Suzuki SVC as well. People there were friendly and completed the servicing in 2hrs on a working Monday at 3pm.

The low beam feels okayish but inadequately illuminates the road . One more complaint I've with the bike is that it has a meagre and insufficient beam head lamp. The high lamp is complete useless. I'll try adjusting the lamp and bring it to focus a bit down.

I have no other issues with the bike. This bike is phenomenal and rides very well, inspiring a lot of confidence. The lamp and turn-indicator switches feel a bit low on quality but it's okay. I hope they make the head lamp correct with the new full-faired gixxer.

But dont Bother about the Rusting Issue and you gona use ur bike daily basis so it wont get rust soon

Rust gathers only when the bike is left unused for days or months ..

Rusting issue will be there in places near the sea; no matter the bike is used daily or not. This thing is specially mentioned in the owners manual also. My friend couldn't claim warranty for his rusted silencer(pulsar) be cause he lived in Visakhapatnam.
I am thinking of spraying clear coat on all chrome nuts, bolts, screws, silencer.
What about silicone sprays?

I am repeating the question - Anyone have ideas about tank cover please share some ideas

Hello all.
I am a happy owner of Gs150 R from last 4 years. Gs150 always 50 plus fuel economy, smooth and comfortable ride. So after that happy moments, i have bid good bye to that great bike, sold it to my friend. I have been following this thread from the beginning it self. So i had decided that my 4th bike would also be suzuki, and it would be none other than gixxer(started with hero honda splendor+, then suzuki heat, suzuki gs150R). Fortunately due to long association with dealer here, although there was a waiting period of 45 days, dealer agreed to give me within 4 days. so had been to showroom last friday, booked a grey gixxer, which will be ready for delivery tomorrow.. happy I am ! Eagerly waiting....

I've been following this thread for quite some time now and everything about the gixxer seems so perfect .so I finally took the plunge and bought a black gixxer(looks fantastic btw) .
1 month and 350 on the odometer later ,I've had a few issues with the bike. Nothing which hinders the raw power but mostly related to the digital console.
~5th gear doesn't show up sometimes on running
~gears are not displayed when on neutral(it won't go past 2nd gear on the console to be precise)
~clicking noise at the front when at 500rpm(bike idling set at 1k rpm)
The mileage is low as well at around 44 kmpl
So I bought this to the notice of the people at the service center and they agreed to look into all the issues
One day later I pickup my bike from SVC and I notice that the console issues are still there,they probably didn't even bother to check the instrument cluster. But the clicking noise had disappeared ,but I couldn't check as it never dropped to 500rpm(even on cold start surprisingly). The performance was also noticeably better and adds up with what other people have reported in this thread.

I'll post mileage results after first service soon as well.in the meantime,any thoughts on this?anybody facing the same issues?

You would better ask Dealer himself. Most probably it will be 2015 lot. However, since central government has discontinued excise duty exemption on vehicles including two wheelers, on road price of bike would also be 3000 rs(approximately) hiked.
