Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Ha!! Add me onto the list!!!Originally posted by Manu27 View PostRight mr.305 30 to 45 days it is! There is a very long waiting list, me being one in the queue. Booked on 12th Oct at Aryan Domlur, still waiting!
Dont know if the queue is the same across all dealers, but i booked mine on 23rd Oct, at 9-star suzuki sarjapur road
Quick question guys, can i change my colour after booking? I have asked them not to send for registration immediately as i want to do a PDI, but just wanted to know if i still have time to change colour. As long as it hasn't gone for registration, then it should be possible, yes?
Also, ANY idea as to when they will be re-stocked fully??? This wait is absolutely driving me nuts!!!!

I had booked blue and just days ago I was asked if I was in mood to change colour as they were restocked with white and grey. I denied and was firm for blue.
Regarding restocks, I am actually unable to understand their demand supply pattern. It doesn't seem that the dealers are stocked based on the bookings.
It seems like they get random colours. I might be wrong. But that is what I concluded based on my interaction with my dealer.Last edited by Manu27; 11-19-2014, 05:29 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I was doing lot of follow up after my booking and found that they were restocked for other colors not the blue though the blue had more booking in general all over. So definitely not restocked based on demand. But now finally stock arriving.Originally posted by Manu27 View Postradikel, I think it depends on your dealer.

Finally I would be getting it this weekendOriginally posted by Manu27 View PostI haven't got it yet, but booked. Yes, it will cost around 89K depending on the number of accessories you go for.
The Suzuki site shows ~87K as the OTR price for all the cities in Karnataka, highest in the country compared to cities in any other state.
I am still not able to figure out why is it so expensive in Karnataka
Waited around 20 days already.

Hi Deepak, thanks a lot for your concern! I already saw that the on road price of the bike in the website was 82442. But I don't know why they're quoting this much. This is the split up he gave me. Kindly take a look and give me your views. When the going gets tough, the tough get going!

I am from coimbatore and I inquired in Goldfinch motors they quoted 2k more. When inquired for reason they told 'handling charges'. All the dealers in coimbatore are quoting more, they are cashing on the success and demand. I complained to the company. I took the bike in chennai at par. So you complaint with suzuki and get it resolved. Here is the email address to whom you can send your quotation [email protected]. He is the person who spoke to me on this when I complained. All the best.Last edited by sancbein; 11-19-2014, 09:24 PM.

From the outset I guess they have boosted the cost in Registration costs and one important thing go to your dealer and ask him for a proper quotation he is supposed to give it to you in invoice/quotation form with dealership name details and details of person preparing the quotation. This quotation on white paper is not right even if you complain the dealer may turn around saying he never gave this get one in his invoice if he quotes same price report to Suzuki I booked mine today for the same price as quoted in Suzuki site. You have every right to question the hike.I shall post a copy of Quotations I received tonight and you ask for the sameLast edited by deepakshankar; 11-19-2014, 09:27 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Reading all the posts above for the price difference, it seems all the dealers across India are taking undue advantage of the current success of this bike launch ...thats why you all see the difference than what the Suzuki website OTR claims.
These dealers will sell this bike as much as possible and earn hefty margins before company like Honda launches its 160cc bike..So the real competition will start once Honda comes into picture.
I think till then we all should raise this issue seriously to Suzuki sales regarding this price game.
I will try to get Suzuki India sales guy contact so that the customers get what they really should get for the money they pay for!Last edited by salil_24; 11-20-2014, 12:13 AM.

Well, you have to consider other factors involved. Like an item (any item) being cheaper where it is manufactured due to there being no transportation charges, road tax for transport vehicles, handling charges etc.
What I am saying is that the company may put a price tag on the bike but that is just the cost price. The mrp depends on the above factors (which change according to distance from factory) and also the other costs such as varying road tax per state and registration cost of bike, insurance cost based on insurance company giving the policy, govt processing cost, other hidden costs.
And in the end, the dealer is a businessman trying to make a profit. He deserves the dealer margin which is very less compared to cost of bike.
A difference of 4-5k INR is okay in case of a 100/150cc bike but you should only call a dealer a cheater if he is asking for a difference of 8-10k INR on the same. So unless the price shoots upto or above 90k INR, there is no cause for concern.
