Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Sorry, my friend, If I hurt your feelings.Originally posted by shojolbd View PostWell i have a HID kit with 4300k bulb. Comfortable for incoming traffic. And what made you think i would be riding in high beam like a moron? In winter, with fog and high power bulbs from trucks and buses coming from the opposite side the stock bulb feels rediculously insufficient. And fog lamps are must. So if you can help me with real info then please do. Thanks.

yes, the stock bulb, at least in low beam, is hopelessly inadequate for night driving.
Some real info now:
Had gone to the showroom to get my Reg No.
Asked the guys there about the upgrade. They said
1. It will void the Bike's warranty - this is standard story at all ASC
2. The battery is not enough to power a HiD. It has to be upgraded too and the alternated retuned for the higher power.
I check on the Fz forums too and the similar approach is mentioned.
Hope it helps.

faced similar issue, looks like there is a false between 4 and 5. I had to click the gear once more to get to 5.
Told the ASC today. They said they will check it during the 1st Service.

Completed 2nd Service today at 3,800 Kms on ODO... Total bill was Rs 460/- (Engine oil + Chain Lubrication).. Mileage after 1st service and before 2nd Serice was 42 Kmpl consistent....I ride @ consistent good speeds between 80 - 95 Km/h on the Speedo whenever road opens up....Pretty happy & no complaints here....
Also raised the issue of faulty switchgear.... The service center promised me that they have ordered a new one & hopefully will be replaced in warranty sometime soon.... Will update when i change them...

Two things abt switchgear on my bikeOriginally posted by Sushobith View PostWhat was the problem with switchgear??

1) pass light works sometimes & doesn't few times... It becomes really difficult when you riding @ good speeds & the pass light don't work... You can't be looking @ speedo to check if the high beam light is flashing...
2) self start... To engage selfstart, you need to hold the clutch on this bike... So i guezz, the small plastic pin in the clutch is not disengaging itself correctly which is not allowing me to self start the bike sometime...I know it is a small things... But in signals, this can be real pain....

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
If sure that that the flash light does not work properly, get it checked at the SC. In your opinion, what else is to be done other than looking at the console to ensure the light is flashing?Originally posted by elangoas View PostYou can't be looking @ speedo to check if the high beam light is flashing...
2) To engage selfstart, you need to hold the clutch on this bike.
The power supply to the relay for the starter motor is through a switch in the clutch lever assembly. It engages while the lever is pressed. That is how it is supposed to be. I am riding GS for about 5 years and pressing the clutch lever is not a problem at all for me. Your experience may however
be different.Last edited by punarvasu; 11-14-2014, 03:40 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello everyone, going for the first service of my bike, pls tell me what are the things need to be checked, nd here are my problems till now
1.a sound while riding, sound like some piece of plastic has stuck.
2.gear shifting problem, most of the time i hit neutral while shifting from 1 and 2 and also gear shifting in other gears is also hard.
3.slow pickup, nd sometimes i feel that i am pulling accelerator but i am getting response very late, nd for a fraction of second i feel that i am. Out of fuel.. Accelerator doesn't respond
4. I once got disbalanced nd fell still, after that i feel that front wheel is shaking at high speeds.
Average is close to fifty, nd yes, headlight is. Not fouccused, very difficult to ride during nights.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
The 3rd problem is due to some blockage in air filter man i may be due accumulation of more duat in air filter or check ur under seat space may be some papers or cloth could be the reason for the blockage bro... It happens in my old bike...Originally posted by Ankur Walia View PostHello everyone, going for the first service of my bike, pls tell me what are the things need to be checked, nd here are my problems till now

The 4th problem may be due to wheel bent bro or the disk plate bend u can feel than the front wheel is shaking while applying soft disk brakes at high speed... This often happens in some pulsars...

Ok.. What i meant was, when you are doing good speeds you can't afford to look @ console to check if the blue high beam light getting flashed every time....Originally posted by punarvasu View PostIf sure that that the flash light does not work properly, get it checked at the SC. The switch in the clutch lever assembly is not disengaging sometimes, which is causing the self start not working @ times for me..

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
If so, get it checked at the SC and ask for a free replacement of the clutch lever assembly if needed. I haven't faced this problem on my bike.Originally posted by elangoas View PostThe switch in the clutch lever assembly is not disengaging sometimes, which is causing the self start not working @ times for me..

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yup... The service center has ordered for a new switchgear.. So once that comes, they should replace mine under warranty...Originally posted by punarvasu View PostIf so, get it checked at the SC and ask for a free replacement of the clutch lever assembly if needed.
