You may have to wait till it comes back up, or if someone has the email-ID to shoot at.Originally posted by nitish836 View Post
10w30 4t is not for GiXXeR, they have Suzuki Motul 10w40 4T specifically released for GiXXeR.
Either, SVC has not updated billing item correctly or, poured wrong engine-oil into GiXXeR's crankcase.
Either way, they need a wakeup call from Suzuki-India.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys they have put the same '10w30t 4t uz' oil in my gixxer almost a month back when i gave it for the first service, but i checked out the manual and found that it is mentioned there that if 10w40t is not available then 10w30t can be used. Thats why I did not worry about it then.
But if "uz" means access 125,then it would be a big problem for me. What should i do now? I have been running the bike with that oil for about 300 kms!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
In fact 10w30 doesn't cause harm provided it's JASO-MA2(MA at least); problem is when they use 10w30 JASO-MB(Scooter specific i.e. dry clutch) oils. Beside clutch slippage you might notice better throttle response & minute increase in mileage.Originally posted by love_my_gixxer View Post...

You may want to find out what they actually poured in that service. And a free replacement if it was JASO-MB oil.Last edited by SparKot; 11-09-2014, 07:29 PM.There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

But will there be some severe engine damage because of that oil as i have been riding with it for a month??

Can you describe the sound?Originally posted by angadpathak View PostHi,
This is a great thread and i have been following it since it was 5 pages small.
I am also from PUNE. Bought black gixxer from Shiv Auto Riders Kalewadi phata Branch(after taking 3 test rides & visiting 5 suzuki showrooms !) for 83860/-.
Bought on 14th Oct, got registration on 4th Nov that's when i started riding it.
I will be going for first service(mandatory to do within 30 days or 750~1000kms whichever earlier) next week.
There is a minor sound coming other than engine sound when i am riding at 1st or 2nd gear at low speed. Not sure if its normal. Do you also face this issue?
ThanksSometimes it is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things that no one can imagine.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
yes...it's front sprocket...Originally posted by Balgi View PostWhat? You mean front sprocket?
I took it to svc a few days ago to get it checked...they applied lube to the chain and said chain was a bit loose..so they tighted the chain again..
but again within 2-3 days the sound is coming again now.....
It's sort of irritating sound that is like trtrtrtrtrtrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...
local mechanic said it's normal sound and not concerning at all..
but then why did it start after first service only..why was this sound absent before first service..

but your bike will have less pickup and clutch slippage problems after few months..

It will be less throttle response dude...as the oil is thin as compared to 10w40.Originally posted by SparKot View PostIn fact 10w30 doesn't cause harm provided it's JASO-MA2(MA at least); problem is when they use 10w30 JASO-MB(Scooter specific i.e. dry clutch) oils. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
No need of changing plates. Just change oil to 10w40 MA2 or MAOriginally posted by love_my_gixxer View PostOkay, thanks man

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello Guys,
i wanted to buy the Gixxer, I went to the show room(Guntur, Andhra Pradesh) and asked for quotation and they gave quotation for INR 87570(including accesories).
Next day I went to the local showroom in my local town, they gave me quotation for INR 87970.
In the Suzuki website it was 83222+registration+accessories.
Is it OK to buy the bike for the price mentioned by the Showroom guys ?

Hi, an xBhp member from guntur was facing same problem. He contacted Suzuki person regarding this. You should get the bike for little less. Check out few earlier pages of the same thread where this issue is discussed in detail.Originally posted by Sushobith View PostHello Guys, i wanted to buy the Gixxer, I went to the show room(Guntur, Andhra Pradesh) and asked for quotation and they gave quotation for INR 87570(including accesories). Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
there is almost 4 to 5k difference in prices when compared with other cities.Infact i've seen many dealers charging more for a bike in towns compared to cities. If its ok buy the bike from Guntur and get the service done in your town, that way you can save few thousands, but your town dealer wont be happy for thatOriginally posted by Sushobith View PostHello Guys,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Karthik most members here have completed only 1st service Correct me if i am wrong as far as my knowledge goes second service is due only after 90 days or 3500-4000 km this bike was released only in September wonder where you got your data from.Regarding rust problem to my remembrance I havent seen any such complaints here rust will be a issue if you live in coastal areas not only gixxer every bike will have this issue but most modern bikes come with some coating to address this issue. If you need any more info people here will helpOriginally posted by karthik.G View Post" Hi guys i was reading ur experiences over few days and i was interested in buying suzuki gixxer by January...
