  • Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155

    Hi guys,

Booked my black gixxer on 23rd. Today was informed, that i most probably have to wait another 10 days!!

Also, can anyone tell me whether the oil in the gixxer you take delivery from the showroom,(i assume its the same suzki motul 10W40??) synthetic/mineral?
Also, why is it recommended to change to mineral after first service, when the suzuki guys say that synthetic is absolutely ok?

BTW, just like in cars, please make it a habit, to DEMAND of the service center to produce the old parts along with the bill.(oil filter, brake pads....etc). Its like a proof of concept/work?? done.
Bills can be easily faked, unless their inventory is strictly managed and controlled by suzuki, and with the mushrooming of so many service centers its difficult to talk about each center's standard.
Let's make suzuki's job a bit easier as well in managing this, and ensure gixxer rules the roost(in this segment) at least for the next 5-6 years.!!!

    Cheers!!

Funny thing , Their response is, I have thrown into scrap, sir. I cant bring it. Even though you enforce them to do so, god knows what he brings is actually taken from our bike or not. So, Its like having a good trust on the SVC.

Today while riding, i felt some vibrations and the feeling was constant. They kicked in everytime after 6 or 6.5k. Anybody else experienced this? I thought gixxer's engine was a vibration free one and that is the only reason i picked this over 200NS.

That is the very reason I wait it out in the service centre and get the work done right in front of my eyes! That way, the mechanic working on your vehicle cannot cheat and they would treat it carefully when we are around. Have seen a lot of them abusevehicles in a careless way when servicing them.

We can safely assume that it's mineral. One can't be sure if it's Motul-Suzuki 10w40 Mineral but we can safely assume so.

Mineral oil is comparatively less effective in lubricating moving parts inside crankcase & engine-block. Hence mineral is considered good for mating new engine-parts. Semi-Synth or Fully-Synth only delays this mating(break-in) process.

Nice suggestion, I manage to get replaced parts even if it needs some persistence. If everybody requests for replaced old-parts then eventually we can be sure that replaced parts are new!!!

Well each industry ought to have internal audits to keeping such things in check. I remember someone talking about Suzuki's audits in GS150R's thread.

So they gave me an email and and told me to fly a mail to that id that I am now satisfied with the service.
I am REALLY happy by their response and Thanks to Suzuki for the same.
Suzuki is taking things very seriously.
The on-road price of Gixxer in my place is 87,456 according to the local showroom. When I checked the Suzuki website it is 83000. So I went to the showroom and asked for a quotation. The staff assigned a boy(may be 19 years old) to give me the quotation and here it is.

I had complained that there is huge difference in price mentioned in website and the showroom at 9am. At 10 am I got a call from a person speaking in hindi. Since my mother tongue is not hindi and I was in traffic, I simply answered "wrong number" and disconnected. At about 11 am I again got a call from the same number and the person introduced himself as Mr.Pankit Modi Head of sales for Andhra Pradesh and asked me to upload the quotation which I did. At 2pm I got another call from the local showroom asking me sir who gave you that quotation, it is the mistake of the employee etc, please come to the showroom and we will resolve the matter.
The next day Mr. Pankit Modi called as asked me if the problem is resolved and requested me to leave a feedback in Suzuki website.
He also said I have to pay the registration fees + accessories price in addition to the mentioned OTR price in website and not a single penny extra. he also said that I can call him in future if I need any further help on his personal number.
The next day I sent my friend to Suzuki showroom to inquire about the price and the damn showroom people still quoted 87456. When my friend explained the whole complaint issue, then they were ready to offer the bike at 83000 + 600. Man I couldn't believe how the showroom people are looting the customers.

Nope... I haven't experienced that... If you notice it consistently, take it once to service center & analyse... Gixxer is completely vibe free....

Saripudi Suzuki seems to be the only authorised dealer according to Suzuki website! If he is continuing to overcharge other customers even after your complaint, I would strongly suggest you get your Suzuki contact notified about this. Give the dealer a hard time until he falls in line. People like them destroy the hard earned brand reputation built over years.

No dealer can quote a single pie extra than OTR price as a customer you have every right to complain to suzuki even file a case in consumer forum for fleecing.Sandeep could you just clarify on the registration fees bit what exactly does fees mean.As the OTR is supposed to include Registration road tax life tax insurance.Yes accessories extra warranty are xtra but registration fees over and above otr is wrong check and confirm
