Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi Guys,
Can anyone give me the exact OTR in Bangalore. As far as i know, the breakup is:
Vehicle - 74553
R.T.O - 10,893
Insurance - 1909
Other Charges - 250 ?????
Accessories Details - 275 ????
Those figures are from my quotation. Dunno, what the last two are for?? Any Clue???
Also, would like to add, for future gixxer buyers, or those simply reading this thread,..... please ensure you follow the PDI, especially before your vehicle goes to registration. It's done for cars, let it be done for bikes as well. Bikes are in no way inferior!!!!
Cheers!!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
That's just about right! For me, Value Suzuki Bangalore quoted 87800/- and an another Meghavath Suzuki quoted 88200/- for the same. The negligible price difference should be the RTO charges I believe.Originally posted by radikel View PostHi Guys,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Today i checked hiss sound in my bike...It's from the chain...i.e the part of chain that is connected to engine...Originally posted by babaji View PostAre you sure? Because i feel it's coming from the console. Will check again tomorrow
I took it to local mechanic and he told me that this sound is normal.
But I want to ask that why is it coming only after service. Before that there was no such sound.Don't be Sad about people,They'll die anyway!

May be it is lubed during service. Wait for some kms and again check if it is there. Don't worry these are very small things.Originally posted by livingsoul View PostToday i checked hiss sound in my bike...It's from the chain...i.e the part of chain that is connected to engine...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I am infact waiting for Honda 160 to be launched this November. If they don't launch their product this month, I'll go for Gixxer and then I will deal with the dealer. My friend dropped out the idea of buying Gixxer suddenly(he is a diehard fan of FZ's looks) so I couldn't take things further.Originally posted by raintree View PostSaripudi Suzuki seems to be the only authorised dealer according to Suzuki website! If he is continuing to overcharge other customers even after your complaint, I would strongly suggest you get your Suzuki contact notified about this. Give the dealer a hard time until he falls in line. People like them destroy the hard earned brand reputation built over years.
According to Suzuki Person I should pay registration charges(for the card, processing etc payable to RTO) + accessories cost if any.... over the mentioned OTR price.Originally posted by deepakshankar View PostNo dealer can quote a single pie extra than OTR price as a customer you have every right to complain to suzuki even file a case in consumer forum for fleecing. Sandeep could you just clarify on the registration fees bit what exactly does fees mean.As the OTR is supposed to include Registration road tax life tax insurance.Yes accessories extra warranty are xtra but registration fees over and above otr is wrong check and confirm
But after the complaint incident the showroom person said I should pay "Handling charges"(Rs.600) + accessories and no registration charges.
Either way the price would be the same.

Just my thoughts (may be wrong).Originally posted by sandeepcf View PostI am infact waiting for Honda 160 to be launched this November. If they don't launch their product this month, I'll go for Gixxer and then I will deal with the dealer.
The Honda 160cc bike is not even unveiled til now and no one knows a damm about it.
I think it will be unlikely for November launch for sale.
What would be honda 160 cc bike like?
Suzuki Gixxer was unveiled in Feb 2014, Yamaha FZS V2.0 was launched in july2014.
Honda was all set to unveil the 160cc bike by September.
They know the pricing of Yamaha FZS FI V2.0, they know the features of Gixxer well before their unveil, but Honda backed off launching its 160 cc bike when the Gixxer was launched with amazing price (Less than old Yamaha FZS).
And they postponed the launch by just 2 months.
You can't do major changes in the bike in just 2 months, so i feel they would have got the pricing wrong and now they might be working on it.
They might have planned to launch a FI bike.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
As you have been registration fees is already a part of OTR maybe a few hundred bucks extra if your RTO has smart card otherwise you just need to pay OTR and take the bike.Accessories if any like crash guard for which i was quoted 600 is all you pay. That would be allOriginally posted by sandeepcf View PostI am infact waiting for Honda 160 to be launched this November. I am on the same boat as you are! Waiting for the Honda 160 cc before taking a decision. BTW it should be officially unveiled sometime in November. Not sure if it will be ready for delivery at the same time to customers. Honda has a poor track record of delivering vehicles on time(they call it high demand). They didn't stop the unveil because they were afraid of Yamaha's and Suzuki's pricing. Just that they launched a 100 CC bike in August that they wanted to space out their launches. Historically Honda has priced their products on a slightly higher side when compared to similar products from the same category! I expect the same to happen here. Price wise this should be on level with the FZ v2.0 than the Gixxer.Originally posted by kathi View PostJust my thoughts (may be wrong). The Honda 160cc bike is not even unveiled til now and no one knows a damm about it.I think it will be unlikely for November launch for sale. What would be honda 160 cc bike like?Suzuki Gixxer was unveiled in Feb 2014, Yamaha FZS V2.0 was launched in july2014.Honda was all set to unveil the 160cc bike by September. They know the pricing of Yamaha FZS FI V2.0, they know the features of Gixxer well before their unveil, but Honda backed off launching its 160 cc bike when the Gixxer was launched with amazing price (Less than old Yamaha FZS).And they postponed the launch by just 2 months. You can't do major changes in the bike in just 2 months, so i feel they would have got the pricing wrong and now they might be working on it.They might have planned to launch a FI bike.Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Not to dissuade people waiting for Honda 160 just my lil 5 cents here Honda Streetfire was displayed in Malaysia or somewhere not sure exactly where and was supposed to hit Indian Markets by Feb this year images of the bike are out in open and that bike is still expected here.Honda 160 expect for the name nobody has any idea of its specs and other details. So if you are waiting for Honda to unveil it ideally your are looking at least a time frame of minimum one year.Historically as OP pointed out Honda prices its vehicles at the higher end.If you are looking for an immediate solution /want a bike within a month or two Gixxer is your baby.If you have a commute and will to play waiting you can wait for Honda 160.November launch is expected no idea of production time waiting time etc
