Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Honda never had plans to launch the streetfire in India! That is why they launched the toned down version CB Trigger(check the design cues without the graphics) last year and it was outsold by the Yamaha FZ 1:3. You are exaggerating when you are saying that it would take us 1 year to get this new 160 cc. If my guess is right, it should launch in mid November or end of November and deliveries should start before end of December.Originally posted by deepakshankar View PostNot to dissuade people waiting for Honda 160 just my lil 5 cents here Honda Streetfire was displayed in Malaysia or somewhere not sure exactly where and was supposed to hit Indian Markets by Feb this year images of the bike are out in open and that bike is still expected here.Honda 160 expect for the name nobody has any idea of its specs and other details. So if you are waiting for Honda to unveil it ideally your are looking at least a time frame of minimum one year.Historically as OP pointed out Honda prices its vehicles at the higher end.If you are looking for an immediate solution /want a bike within a month or two Gixxer is your baby.If you have a commute and will to play waiting you can wait for Honda 160.November launch is expected no idea of production time waiting time etcOwns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Just FYI Honda CB150R Streetfire Price, Specs, Review, Pics & Mileage in India
IBN - Indian Biker News: Honda to launch the CB150R Streetfire in February
Streetfire was expected but Trigger landed. With regard to launch and deliver there is always a time frame and gap Gixxer was launched in Feb no news about specs for long bookings started in August delivery in Sept and still running on a wait period. To meet the time frame you are talking Honda should have bikes ready before launch so it can deliver in December after a November launch which is unlikely though

Are those specs for real??
At 150cc they are extracting 17.5 bhp??, but torque figures are par for the course. Nothing outstanding.
Also, wasnt it pegged at 160cc??
But the bike overall looks 'meh'. Nothing interesting going on.
Overall, pricewise, specwise, gixxer still beats it in my opinion, IF those figures are valid.

Well first off, is the r15 not a 150cc generating 17bhp?
Secondly, you're right the bike is 'meh' in the looks department. In fact a gixxer looks way more robust in comparison.

You are right. For about R15.Originally posted by Balgi View PostWell first off, is the r15 not a 150cc generating 17bhp?

But still, that is a slightly higher category, no?
If it is indeed going to be carbed and air cooled, power figure is really good.
Then again, article is Jan'13. But, seeing how they have openly stated it is not based off the CX-01, we can assume the design to be almost the same, and power figures as well to be pretty accurate.
The only way i see this bike is going to blow away everyone, is if HONDA pull a rabbit out of their hat!!
But, then again, this is HONDA.
As awesome as their engineering might is, i really dont like hondas. Much prefer yamaha/suzuki over them anyday. Beleive them to be more rider/customer centric.
HONDA only believe in blue-sky thinking.

You are quoting two websites(one of them is a blog?) which doesn't hold any credibility among automotive news websites! Around Jan 2013 Honda said they were launching a new 150 cc. They launched the Streetfire in Thailand/far east market and around the same time brought the Trigger to India in April 2013. All three Japanese brands design and test their bikes in Japan. Hence you don't get to see any spy shots like you do with other bikes.
Suzuki launched Gixxer in Auto Expo in Jan 2014 to create market interest and the specs were kept a secret to just keep the market interest in the product. Actual Gixxer production started in August with people starting to get deliveries around end of August. Honda seems to have 3 factories(Suzuki just has 1 now in Gurgaon) up and running all across India at the moment. So if they plan to deliver the 160 cc by Decemeber, it shouldn't be a problem for them.Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

Bro the article is from a feature on gixxer. The Honda 150cc is liquid cooled fi bike. The Honda cx-01 was showcased in the recent auto show and really does have 17.5bhp and six gears. And if you prefer Yamahas, there is a Yamaha mt125 which is a 15bhp liquid cooled bike. In fact bike magazine ran a feature on it a few months ago.Last edited by Balgi; 10-31-2014, 05:58 PM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello .. I was charged Rs 860 for first service of Suzuki Gixxer. I complained on the website seeing the bills posted here and within 2 hours I got a call from the Service Centre saying they made a mistake and will refund Rs 200 on Monday since tomorrow is a holiday
... Thanks guys.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Also I noticed around 1 - 2 litres petrol was removed during service. I forgot to mention that in the complaint. Probably would have got that amount refunded as well.
