Nothing, just that you miss to know when the bike starts using reserve fuel unless you see the gauge.Originally posted by radikel View PostAlso, just a general question.
But what happens when you full tank the bike, put the fuel knob on reserve and ride quite vigorously??The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Nothing happens you end up using reserve fuel and it gets topped up from main dont worry about ride on.As far vehicle going to service it would be enough if you have enough gas for a round trip to home and svc then home to fuel stationOriginally posted by radikel View PostAlso, just a general question.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hmmm..the problem is calculating exactly how much to top up now..so that after first service iam literally running on fumesOriginally posted by deepakshankar View PostNothing happens you end up using reserve fuel and it gets topped up from main dont worry about ride on.As far vehicle going to service it would be enough if you have enough gas for a round trip to home and svc then home to fuel station
Have about 2-2.5L in the tank now...so iam furiously running some calculations on how much to top up. Guesstimating a lot of figures here!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
ODO is at 514km..also..my fuel guage is not flashing reserve,,where the segment and fuel marker flash, only the 'marker' is flashing indicating about ~3LOriginally posted by deepakshankar View Postif I read it right reserve is around 2.4 litres so technically you are running on reserve tank so topup 2 litres you are good to go
If i read the manual right, reserve flashes on when you have ~1.2L in tank.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Why worry so much? Just till you have to turn the knob to reserve (and the whole segment flashes). Then top-up 1.5-2L. Now you have about 3L. Even if you reach the SVC, you won't loose more than 1L of fuel.Originally posted by radikel View PostODO is at 514km..also..my fuel guage is not flashing reserve,,where the segment and fuel marker flash, only the 'marker' is flashing indicating about ~3L

And if you hit reserve again before reaching SVC, top it up with another litre.
PS- I went for the 1st serving with my tank nearly 3/4th full. :P
Reached the SVC early in the morning, queued up 1st and kept an eye while they worked on my bike.Last edited by Avinash666; 12-19-2014, 02:36 PM.The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hey guys can you give me some feedback on Gixer rear tyre on dry and wet condition? I booked for pirelli but it'll take about less 2 months to be here. Just found out it's 140 section, thought it was 130 so wanna try it on my 200 NS. Is the profile same to Fz-s rear?Put The Pedal To The Metal

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Handling is pretty same in both dry and wet condition. Can't say excellent, but good enough to be confident on the road.Originally posted by Tanzing Sherpa View PostHey guys can you give me some feedback on Gixer rear tyre on dry and wet condition? Width is same but profile is different. Fz rear tyre is flat. In Gixxer, it is curved. The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...
