Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Did you say 2.5Amp? Well, then you might not really need a relay for that. I've myself installed a roots r70 along with the stock that consumes the same power. And also horn is not used constantly, so it won't put a load on the circuit. (Still if you want a relay you will have to cut the wire because they don't give extra terminals to install a relayOriginally posted by Jagzxbhp View PostI'm gonna install Roots Vibromini 2.5 ah 12V horn in gixxer. How to do . Shopkeepers here sell things, don't know how they are installed. And garage people just cut main wiring harness which I don't want in my new bike

Anyways, if you don't want a relay, then just use a splitter like this-
The open end goes to the output terminal for horn of the bike. And the other two terminal (plastic covered) go to the two horns.
The r70 is on the farther side, and the nearer one is the stock one.
Try it. Goodluck :thumbup:The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Get a four point relay and connect it to the stock horn output (both wires). Now once the stock horn wires are both connected to the relay wire the output from the relay such that both new and stock horn run through the switch.
I will post a pic of my bike's horn setup if possible to show you how its wired. No need to run an additional wire to the battery. And no need to cut stock wires either.Last edited by Balgi; 12-18-2014, 10:20 AM.

You've completed 3k kms and I assume you've been running the same oil for at least two of that 3k kms. So change the oil and see the difference. If it remains rough post a comment here again and well help you then.
Bikes tend to get rough as the oil is aging.

Does a 2.5amp horn need a relay? I mean, I've installed the horn without any relay and it works fine too.Originally posted by Balgi View PostGet a four point relay and connect it to the stock horn output (both wires). Will it harm my bike or battery?
I thought, since its just 2.5amp and the horn is also used seldom that too for 2-3secs, it won't need a relay. Do I need to get a relay? The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

You need relays with 5amps or higher only. But I have found that having a relay makes the horn's sound more crisp and clear and the horns last longer with less strain on the battery.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hey guys..quick question.
My fuel marker started flashing today at an odo reading of 475 kms. Meaning ~3 Litres left in the tank.
Should i ride on until the segment also starts flashing, indication of ~1.2L left in the tank. Also, riding with this fuel level, any damages that might be caused to the engine, fuel sensors??
Also, considering 1st service is upcoming at ~750-800kms, should i full tank it again or fill in ~6-7L of fuel only, so that only minimal fuel is left when giving for service?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
No harm. There is a reserve knob. Ride until u hit reserve. Then fill oil. Also it is not a fi bike so no harm to engine/fuel pump.
