    Hello gixxer owners,
Please help me on getting a good leg gaurd or frame sliders (I don't know if they are available for this bike) for my bike in Pune.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Is there any pattern in the engine check light? usually there is a pattern to allow the owner to know what the possible problem is.. with the help of the pattern, check your owners manual..

Hi all, I'm unable to find my service booklet cum manual. I've just got one service fine so far. Does Suzuki offer a duplicate manual or what are the other options to get the 4 free services?

Yes, you could go back to the showroom where you bought your motorcycle and let them that know you had lost your service book, they might charge you 300-400/- and give you a new one. It's a 15 mins job.

Just make sure to get the service coupon numbers changed to that of your previous service books' so as to retain your warranty. (For old service book number refer your first service invoice)

                        Cheers

What is the cost of replacing chain set in Gixxer?
My bike has done 39k kms and it needs a new one now.

                            Approx. INR 1300.

39k on odo is impressive for chain set change. Share your maintenance schedule, tips as well.

So, I got these cushions replaced almost a month back and can see considerable drop in the noise. I hear a occasional kat kat noise under hard acceleration. Is there something else wrong with the bike ? I checked for the chain slack and it seems not to be the case. There is zero play between the wheel and rear sprocket now. Any suggestions guys!

I am scratching my head over this and the service guys are keen on minting money by suggesting replacement of entire chainset rather than finding the root cause.

                                Hello everyone,

Last week, my cousin who owns a Gixxer sf (which he bought after extensive testing of my red Gixxer!) met with an accident. It was at low speed, hence he got away with a few scratches (himself and bike).

However, the reason he told me for the accident is baffling. Apparently his front brake locked the front tyre on its own leading to the skid that caused his fall. I'm sceptical about this reason as I have not faced such an issue with my Gixxer till date.(2 years, more than 27k Kms) It's highly unlikely that the front brake will engage, much less lock the tyre without input at the brake lever by the rider.

Fellow Gixxer owners, has anyone faced a similar issue? Senior/knowledgeable xbhpians, is any situation possible where the front brake locks the tyre on its own?
