Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Antirust treatment requires the tank to be removed completely. Try to find out whats the cost of tank replacement V/S cost of antirust treatment (not just the product used in it but the whole procedure) then act accordingly.Originally posted by kedar3223 View PostFor My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Thanks for suggestion. I got familiar with RAM mount during visit to Karol Bagh. The price point is out budget. I'm contemplating between Rynox and other local options, will visit Gurgaon's bike market to evaluate options.Goodluck on your adventure. Not a tourer here but as far as Mobile Holder goes you can either go for RAM mount(expensive ~ 4k INR) or Rynox Croc mount (~1k INR)
The difference is RAM mount is just a strong holder. The rynox mount is a holder with a casing and transparent screen so your phone is protected from Weather elements as well. However I am not sure about the touch sensitivity through the Case screen on the Croc mount
Any help on below queries, folks?
Query 1: My front sprocket drive needs replacement. Phoned Dwarka Suzuki (West Delhi) to enquire cost od spare , surprisingly, was informed that I'll have to purchase the entire kit. Can any one validate the same?
Query 2: Toolkit got nicked (?), looking to upgrade tool kit set, any suggestion or recommendation? Looking for handy set to carry along during tours.
Thanks.

All that glitters is not gold. Ideally, I won't mess up with fork option/setting, this is keeping safety during rides. Any particular issues you are facing with stock ones? Or this is more from aesthetic POV?Originally posted by Mahfuz Azim View PostHi! Is there any way to make the front forks look like gold usd forks?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I think one have to change or upgrade the full wiring to withstand the curremt flowing from a 5Ah battery pr else the stock ones gonna get heated n melt,Originally posted by eddyjamerson View PostHi friends,
Is it possible to plonk a 5Ah battery in the gixxer? The box appears large enough & I was planning to replace the current 3Ah one. Will there be any benefit (longevity, durability, practicality)? Thanks.
expand the battery compartment of 3ah battey to accomodate a 5ah, which i think is not possible or if it does, yo have to get it done from outside by cutting and adding extra metal parts (just a theory).
So theres a lot of things yo have to consider to make a battery upgrade. The same thing came to my mind too as it came to yo, but its lot a labour.
Consult a good mechanic if yo r looking to get it done. But i'll not recommend it.

If still confused of its toughness....use mseal on its rotating joint only after adjusting its angle to ur required view.
Seperate chain spocket parts are sold at mst svc spare section. Some svc's doesnt sell seperately.
Amazon.in provides plenty of branded tools like allen keys, spanners, ratchets n all for a reasonable price. Yo can get them there.

The stock setting is perfectly fine but I wanted some cosmetic modification. Is there any way to paint the forks gold?Originally posted by Sasank View PostThanks for suggestion. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Thanks for your suggestion, I guess I will try a little DIY this weekend. Thinking of swapping my Jupiter's 5Ah battery into the Gixxer's battery bay (if it fits) and trial run it for a week. Guess I'm gonna risk this one, lets see what happens. Keeping my fingers crossed.Originally posted by presidency View PostI think one have to change or upgrade the full wiring to withstand the curremt flowing from a 5Ah battery pr else the stock ones gonna get heated n melt,

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hey Guys! I've got a little play in my rear sprocket. I can rotate the rear sprocket back and forth a bit after which it starts rotating the rear wheel. I am hearing a constant tak tak noise from the rear wheel which is more prominent with a pillion.
Took my bike to Rajouri Garden for the service camp and these guys reduced the chain slack and advised replacing the whole chain set (front, rear sprockets and chain)
Looking at the sprockets, they can definitely last 5K kms at least (They are not pointy at all). My Gixxy has run close to 14K and it feels damn early to get the whole chainset replaced.
Any suggestions guys ?
