    Hi friends..

What is the lifetime of gixxer battery? Mine has started acting up lately. The self starter has become feeble and does not turn over at times.

Bike has done 15000 km since march 2015. And yes, the ignition light also flickers at times then I have to position the key at an angle to keep it right.

How many services have you gotten done till now? If 5-6 then your SVC hasnt been performing Battery Checks. If you had a service done recently within 1k-1.5k kms then take the bike back to SVC and question them about the situation.

Have completed all free services in the book including some paid ones. Now since the warranty is over, I smell foul play by the SVC. They are damn lousy here and hence I try doing most of the maintenance work.

Will take the bike there this weekend.. Thanks.

Does anyone has vibration problems? Vibration is felt on footpegs, handlebars and seat. Hard vibration is felt while riding at more than 50kmph. Got serviced 2 times but not resolved.

                  2. Idle RPM can be adjusted manually by yourself as well, you dont need the SVC to set it. Also Idle RPM has no connection with the Noise while down shifting.
                  3. If your bike stalls in Idle state then check Fuel amount, Fuel Valve position, Choke position.
Handle moved to extreme right or left? Doesnt make sense, be more clear about this.

If the brake rotor is bent then SVC should cover the cost of replacement. It is negligence on their part that they did not notice the bent rotor during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd service (assuming you got 3 services done till now based on the fact you have covered 7k kms).

But if you have had an accident in these 7k kms, then its a different story.

Ask your SVC why did they not check the Rear brake rotor during the previous services, and that they should cover the replacement cost. If they dont comply, shoot Suzuki an Email on their website. A brake rotor doesnt simply get bent. It either comes like that from the factory, or gets bent after an accident. Rarely if the quality of the rotor is not good, it may get bent under extreme braking. Hope this helps
What I mean in point 3 is: consider engine is on and I moved the handle completely to the right to take a turn then engine was getting off automatically. Anyone observed this issue in your bike?

I shown this issue to the svc and they have just increased the idle rpms. Now the problem is gone but mileage is reduced and after driving bike for few kms and stopping the bike in first gear rpm indicator shows around 3k rpms. Now, I observed that rear tyre moves without releasing clutch and when bike is on centre stand
Please suggest how should I resolve the issue

Once again take it to the SVC. Idle RPM should be adjusted to 1.5k +/- 200 after the engine is fully warmed. Set it yourself.

Get teh clutch cable adjusted properly for free play. There will be some amount of Fluid friction since its a wet clutch and that will cause the rear wheel to spin even if the clutch is disengaged.

How did you measure fuel mileage? Any other method than Full tank to Full tank is inconsistent. If you havent done this then do it again and report back.

My Suzuki Gixxer which ran like 20k, all was fine but all of sudden now it wont start easily which is very annoying. Mechanic has cleaned the engine head and changed the spark plug still it is facing the same problem. Can any one suggest me what I am missing out?

Its one hell of a svc
Me along with my two fellow xbhpian gixxerians went there and after being fed up repeatedly by Animesh suzuki agarpara it was a oasis in the desert
They reassembled the bike from scratch and did what not
I was worried about the future of the bike because of the bad svcs and their behaviors
But these guys had done it all
Felt like returning with a new bike while coming back from
                        P.s.
They have idemitsu f.s. oil there
I have nothing to complain of the oil as i think its well enough for me and its well enough for "guys" maybe not for "bikers"
Yes i am not fond of nitpicking to express my vast knowledge (sarcasm intended)
And nor i am paid by the svc to write the review
Just wanted to help the fellow riders to find a suitable svc where they can come out of the service station happily
Me too gettin harrased by animesh suzuki. Skilled but lazy mechanics. No interest beyond normal servicing. Takes 1 to 2 months to work on accident cases.....which usually takes 5 to 6 hrs. Lack of spares.

Did anyone used chain sprocket set of other brand of same specs from outside shop instead of the stock provided by the svc? Please give the details.

I am using front sprocket of Pulsar 150. It is an exact match. Also the 14t sprocket of cbz xtreme, unicorn fits. Don't know about rear sprocket and chain length. If you can remove the rear sprocket and take it to the spare parts shop they can find alternatives.

Y are you soo curious about the motul oil? Already many svcs across the country are stocked with idemistu oil rather than motul. Why are you soo specific about the motul oil according to the svc guys motul oil will be vanished in the coming months the only option you will have is idemistu.
