Re: shamanth gowda
thanks, ordered both from amazon and incoming. i will buy oil filter tomorrow. for oil change i want to go local mechanic cause i dont have tool to remove oil filter cap.Originally posted by Shamanth Gowda View PostI'm using motul 7100 10w40, it's the best oil after trying others like shell, valvoline etc. You can buy oil filter for ₹40 at Suzuki showroom. Use diesel to clean chain with Card board placed between chain and rear rim. For lubing use motul chain lube.

Riley - 2017 Suzuki Gixxer BS4 coming home!
After completing 1,35,000+kms on my 10yr old Pulsar 180 UG3 I was looking forward to changing my workhorse to something reliable yet sporty enough to take on the mild adventures I wish to seek at times from it. Hence after very careful consideration and test rides I narrowed down ans have booked a 2017 BS4 Gixxer with dual disc setup in Triton Blue color.
The reason for this post of mine is to introduce to you guys a list of enhancement accessories (Cosmetic & Purposeful) which I opted for my bike before I could take the delivery of the same.
1. Suzuki OEM tank pad - 357INR the best option available and at a super price and equally good quality.
2. Suzuki OEM replacement aluminium tyre valve caps. A neat lil touch to the wheels. It has a Suzuki monogram logo too on it. 51INR
3. Hella light compact 110dB dual horn. As the stock horn is bad ans needed something compact ans powerful. Also opted for Minda 4 pin relay along with a fuse line for safety. 830INR
4. 6 SMD LED splu-in type lamps for parking light and number plate light. Low power consumption & bright. 150INR
5. Shift sock. Rubberised sock for the gear shifter to prevent the shoes and my feet from bruises of shifting. 80INR
6. 6 LED high/low beam replacement for main headlight. Powerful, low power consumption and reliable. Also as my bike comes with AHO will look classy too. 6000K pure white light. **Yet to be delivered** 700INR
I also wish to replace the stock spark plugs with NGK G-Power for better performance and search is on for K&N or BMC stock replacement air filter.
And here is preview of my Riley. Taking the delivery tomorrow!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
plz clarify as which type of chain comes as standard fitment on the gixxer. I've quoted a post from the first page of this gixxer thread which states that the gixxer has a Non O-Ring chain....i'm sort of cunfused.Originally posted by punarvasu View PostIn addition to that:
Carburetor UCAL UCD29
Compression ratio 9.8:1
Air cleaner Non-woven fabric element
Gear ratios:
Primary 3.1818 (70/22)
Final 3.000 (45/15)
1st 2.750 (33/12)
2nd 1.750 (28/16)
3rd 1.300 (26/20)
4th 1.045 (23/22)
5th 0.875 (21/24)
Engine oil 850 ml (950 ml if oil filter is replaced)to be changed in every 4,000 kms
Fuel tank capacity 12 L including reserve 2.4 L
Start system Electric and Kick
Chain R428 Non O ring, 132 links
i thought it does come with an O-Ring chain and thats why no chain cover is required...also is any change in the stock chain in the subsequent versions of the gixxer since its original release in 2014?. thanks in advance....

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
IIRC, Gixxer came with a o-ring chain from day #1. The confusion initially was because of the "NOR" in the chain kit's name, i.e., R428 NOR 132. May be NOR meant non o-ring for Rolon/OE kits and the manual might have mentioned it wrongly. NOR could also mean "Nitrile O-ring" as even the LGB catalogue says "NOR 211, R428 NOR 132" for Gixxer.Originally posted by prasath_xbhp View Postplz clarify as which type of chain comes as standard fitment on the gixxer. Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi guys i am facing problem with my bike for a week. My bike makes tak tak noise when i drive. First i thought it was chain and i tightened and lubed it.
But the problem still occurs. Then i noticed, the bike is making that noise only while i am accelerating. When i go down slope with engine off, or engine on in neutral, the bike doesn't make any sound. What maybe the problem? I can't go to service center for 2-3 days

How many kilometers have you done? Alternate teeth of the front sprocket might be broken - did you have a look inside the sprocket cover?Originally posted by sazzy View PostHi guys i am facing problem with my bike for a week.
