Come on buddy enough of posting funny lines.
I know those stickers just degraded the classic and sporty looks of the gixxer but what we can do if he is very much inclined & comfortable with those gaudy stickering work. He should realize the importance of looks of the blue gixxer with out those stickering job.

Hey Guys.. Am new here... Planning to buy Gixxer.. Jus wanted to know if it is possible to get the below items from the showroom/from outside.....
                    1) Mud guard in the front wheel.. I think the dirt will settle down on the engine when we ride.. especially during rainy days.. it will ruin the looks
                    2) If not mud guard, an engine guard.. for the same reason of protecting the engine from dir/mud..
                    3) Lower chain guard.. to protect the chain from mud during rainy seasons..

Ganesh I would personally advice you not to go for such items it literally kills the sports look of the bike.Engines are placed nicely to avoid impact of water/slush even if some of it gets struck which I doubt is possible in chennai rains you are better off doing a water wash or self cleaning than these.Chain guard will kill the concept of naked bike you have chain lubricants cleaners which you can use to remove dirt.Fellow members have had chains dirty in rain and cleaned them.My advice dont put them

Fixing any of this stuff in your bike will result in your bike having hard to reach places where dirt will settle and that is how rust happens. Just keep it the way it is. You can add a rubber mud flap to the front ant rear mudguards to minimize dirt throw on your bike and pants.

                            2 questions :

                            1. anybody who got any discounts while buying the bike??

                            2. What is your price difference between the On-road price quoted on Suzuki site & the price at which you bought (exclude the extra accessories)

                            Will be helpful, thanks

AFAIK you wont get any discounts as of now probably the dealer maybe kind enough to give you a seat cover that would be all.
Technically speaking there should be no difference in price between OTR on suzuki site and dealer price except maybe a few hundreds if your RTO has a smart card and some more if dealer is pushing you for IND number plates that should be all.You can question the dealer about price difference or even report to suzuki of excess charging by the dealer

Every dealer gets a cut of the total sale cost. Usually for vehicles upto 1 lakh INR its 6000-7000/-. The dealer can choose to reduce this amount which is called as "dealer margin discount". But no dealer will do this up front. In fact all dealers try to up the price by a small margin to get a larger cut. Offers like free insurance and free accessories etc are from that dealer margin. So make it a habit to always ask for the "best price" when buying anything and you will get it at less than market price(by a nominal sum) if you're adamant about it.
