      Happy New Year fellas!!!

So, i just got back from a 20km ride early morning, along outer ring road. Rain picked up just as i left, and became insanely heavy. Fully drenched.
Ride was superb, long stretches, dark skies, pouring rain...couldn't have asked for better!

After the ride, i can say only one last thing. This bike just gives you...loads of CONFIDENCE!!! Because the bike is only as good as the confidence it inspires in the rider...all other performance figures are secondary.

No loss of braking power in the rain, rock steady....superb! In between pushed my limit up a notch..110kmph...it was simply a blast...absolutely enjoyed the ride, even though at the end i was a complete mess.(Reminder- need to buy riding gloves...any recommendations?)

Also, as for the monoshock collecting mud, no need to worry. It doesnt collect mud at all, in fact the only mud it collects is lunatics who rip past you splashing the dirty water onto your bike, that what happened today, for the reason of a bit of dirt on my mono-shock.

Hope this resolves gixxer performance issues in the rain..for future owners!!

      Happy riding, and be safe!

      Cheers!!!

I think this was quoted from the powerdrift review. Isn't it?

I'm using Alpinestar fingerless gloves. Got it from a local store for 540 bucks. Great for grip and protection but doesn't keep warm.
The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

What is a fingerless glove? the one that only comes till your knuckles and doesnt protect your fingers?
Am looking for a full hand glove.

I'm using dsg motomesh gloves... Its new so can't comment on longevity but its good buy. Except right thumb, all fingers are covered along with knuckle protection. Good grip and ventilation. Looks cool too..

Yes, it doesn't cover your fingers. Looks great though.
You can get Probiker full gloves at Flipkart easily. Doesn't cost much and lasts good.

Hi everybody. Wish each one of you a rocking New Year . Do enjoy what ever you do and enjoy riding your machines much more

Its been some time I have posted here. I am having the best moments of my life since owning my black beauty. Where ever I go, eyes follow thus having an amazing feeling.

Currently ridden 570 kms on the odo and am impatiently waitng for the 1st service as have seen in the earlier posts that the bike gets butter smooth post the service.

Till then,I am strictly mainaining discipline by keepng under 4500 rpm and riding under 60 kms per hour. Well this is where my I patience levels are being checked as mostly I ride on highways and early morning on my way to office people on FZs,bullets and P220s fly past me. Even an auto rickshaw guy went past me as I cant cross 60
The engine is smooth and I cruise all the time, keepng under 60 is really challenging as a slight twist of throttle and am past the mark. This was not the case when I used to ride my Discover 125 Dtsi.

The only concern for me currently is I am having a sore back as the rear suspension is a bit hard and was comtemplating with my colleague who owns a FZ whether I sould ask the SVC to soften the suspension during the 1st service for which he suggested me not to as it would soften as I will ride more. Guys please share your suggestion on this.

Anotherthing is night vision is not sufficient enough and as read in earlier forums, can change to a 55 w lamp. Current owners who have already done this please share whether they have experienced any lag on the battery if any.

I wish I could put some pictures again but my phone is under repair. Will do it once I get my phone back.

Only thing which always lingers on my mind is the 1stservice. I think this is what is called as falling in love .

                          I love my black beauty.

                          Happy and safe riding...

                            Hi

I had 2010 model with analog meter which was good bike at that time... and comparing to Gixxer Mono shock and wide tires, Digital display, More Pick up and no vibrations beats all other bikes...
Hunk model is stopped and resale value has already decreased and to get any spares need to wait couple of weeks...... Also please share any of your thoughts. thanks ..........

I've upgraded to Philips Xtreme Vision 55/60w. Its been 300kms and there is no sign of battery discharging yet.

Is this the top speed of Gixxer? I could manage only 112kmph full throttle and the bike is not revving past 8000 rpm at this speed. Is there any problem with my Gixxer?

I have done 120kmph and it doesnt go past that.

Also how much did the bulb cost and was a local mech able to change it? And it was a direct fit right?
