you can also check my post http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...procket-2.html which was more than 3 years ago. My Unicorns chain lasted 50000+ kms.
Since this is Oring chain I am mixing kerosene with engine oil to reduce the property of kerosene solvency.
I once was out of petrol and I poured NC thinner in my tank and rode the bike for 2kms to the petrol bunk. I mentioned it as a funny thing somewhere in the forum. That doesn't mean I am suggesting NC thinner as alternative to petrol.
Even I love my bike man. I won't do eccentric things/mods to it.

Thanks.
You see things vacationing on a motorcycle in a way that is completely different from any other. In a car you're always in a compartment, and because you're used to it you don't realize that through that car window everything you see is just more TV. You're a passive observer and it is all moving by you boringly in a frame. ~Robert Pirsig

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Gixxer has normal chain without any ring. So its safe to use kerosene to clean it. Use any chain spray or gear oil to lube it after cleaning but allow kerosene to dry off before using lube. Else the kerosene dissolves it too making it useless..Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostBut in the manual its not mentioned that its a o ring type.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Diesel is very much safe to use even on O ring chains but the kerosine is not universally accepted as it damages the O rings according to some people tough many of them uses it with out any issues.Originally posted by John P Daniel View PostBut isn't gixxer fitted with non o ring type chain?? Even with o ring, kerosene/diesel can be used safely without much problems. If necessary, buy chain clean but it's costly though..
