Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I had my first service done last week. And since then my bike feels a little odd. What should be the rpm's when I am not accelerating.. I mean when in neutral gear without acceleration. Right now its set on 1.5k RPM.Originally posted by Rizwan Khan View PostIs it normal to get the engine, exhaust really hot that I feel it near foot pegs...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys..Here is a weird problem i faced. Since i was ill for 3 days i was unable to start my bike. After 3 days when i tried to start with the kick lever without even applying throttle the bike started reving all by itself between 1k rpm and 4k rpm ,back and forth. When i checked the throttle it was at zero position. After a point it started reving past 4k rpm, i got afraid and switched off the engine. Is this a normal behaviour for the engine to attain warmup? because never had such an issue with my pulsar 150.
Another issue i face off late , sometimes when i attain very low speeds, irrespective of the gear number and clutch hold, the engine turns off completely. This has happened too often after the 3 day hiatus and seems to put me off since it happens in the middle of traffic which could be potentially dangerous. What could be the reason guys?
P.S: Bike is only 400kms oldLast edited by greatdoc; 06-01-2015, 11:51 AM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Was the bike washed recently? If so, water might have gone into the Spark Plug Cap which results in such behaviour. Blow air into the Cap and things will be back to normal.Originally posted by greatdoc View PostGuys..Here is a weird problem i faced. Since i was ill for 3 days i was unable to start my bike. Was the choke 'On'? Check the Spark Plug. Also, do check the condition of Spark Plug Cap.Originally posted by greatdoc View PostNo the bike was never washed.Never was in the rain. The real beauty lies in throttle's twist!!

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I believe this is the new fully synthetic oil Shell introduced recently in February? Also how far did you run on this FS before you gave up? Only two or three pages ago I remember you changing to this oil.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostGuys dont ever buy shell FS oil ax7 is much better than this shit.
Bike became over smooth & its lost the punchy feel in the lower rpms. Acceleration is dropped drastically altough the smoothness is present bikes engine felt that its struggling for breath.
Immediately drained this shit and refilled the engine with stock motul oil wasted 800rs on this shitty oil
.
Moral i learnt was never experiment with these type of expensive oils.
Also a similar review from you on the Shell AX7(including drain intervals), the semi-synthetic oil will be helpful for me as I am planning to start using it after the next 1000 kms on my Gixxer.Owns a baby Gixxer starting Jan '15

The picture posted by truelypulsarian has Rs. 827/- stickered on it but with some RCE technology.
Meanwhile, I found Shell India's website stating the new Shell Advance Ultra Pureplus will retail for Rs. 827/-
