Shell Advance Ultra is JASO MA2.Originally posted by radikel View PostWas the shell JASO MA2 certified? Stick to oils only with this certification.
Anyway, I digress. I think the MOTUL 5100 SS oil is a good step in between.
ELF Moto4Tech is also JASO MA2.
I don't think MA2 is the only deciding factor here(atleast for our Gixxers).
I had no problem with TOTAL which is not JASO certified and Honda Throttle which is JASO MA certified. I had problem with ELF Moto Tech which is JASO MA2 certified.
Anyway we members are having different expericences with different Oils. And you can add your experience with Motul FS Oil as well.
As no one is trying Diesel/Car oils yet, I will try Shell Helix Oils 10w40 next
.

you can refer to Engine Oil thread about diesel oils. I got inspiration from that thread only.

No bro. That is sparkplug & cylinder head. If water goes inside the cylinder bike won't start if you use kick or self start. You told that ur bike not starting in self start. I mean the engine kill switch(red). Dismantle the yoke (right side) & do the work what I said.Just follow my shadow.

I see you have a friend with Apache. So, you two had a go on free highways?Originally posted by EthanReddington View Posti am new here.. here's my beast!
It has to be electric-starter-motor which resembles coke-tin-can. You can't miss it if you look at engine-block front area.Originally posted by Dynamo View PostNo bro. How does it go? neck-2-neck or someone has clear edge over the other.Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostYea..sometimes
What does your Apache friend has to say about your Gixxer?
Yoke : anything that resembles a clamp-like... in this case switch housing.Originally posted by EthanReddington View PostConfused bro.. yoke??
I don't think it's the switches. Pour some water on the electric-starter-motor(tin-can shaped cylindrical body) and try to button start. If you can repeat it at home, do the same at SVC to bring out the issue.Last edited by Freak inExile; 05-31-2015, 04:35 PM.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys when the engine is hot it sounds noisy initially tought it was due to the tappets & adjusted them at the svc but still the noise didnt dissapeared.
Svc guys told that its pretty much normal. Checked with one red gixxer at the svc noise is same from that gixxer too.PULSAR 180 DTSI- 2007

What kind of noise comes from the engine when hot? Tappet sounds are common after long run.Originally posted by truelypulsarian View PostGuys when the engine is hot it sounds noisy initially tought it was due to the tappets & adjusted them at the svc but still the noise didnt dissapeared.
