Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Will be equally ridden in the city and highways, I've read somewhere that the Gixxer's engine was detuned for better fuel economy. And I've noticed people mentioning about cruising at 90kph without stressing the engine. So I hope it will be good. There are members who have been riding their gixxers for months. They'll give a better verdict on this, than I can right now. [emoji1]Originally posted by srinath2494 View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Its out of production according to the Philips executive only. It is still mentioned in the philips website. Yes it was hard for me to find the single blister pack of the bulb instead of set of 2.Originally posted by Habshan View PostIt's out of production? I'll try my luck with the local shops here. Did you follow any guide to get the mod done?

hi
mine was a chinese product so no mention of colour temp. But guessing from the colour of light i would say somewhere around 5000k. HID in reflector not in projector. HID in projector costs around 2300 here in local shop. so went for HID in reflector. High beam is equally good. Ballast is mounted in the headlight frame using tapes.
Actually i researched a little about HID lights. Without projector as mentioned on some of the sites illumination just in front of the bike is more and focussing is not that good on the road. This is true but whatever focussing i m getting is still much better than the stock lights. Also there were complaints about high beam but same is the case with high beams too. Just adjust the headlamp position as such that most of it is focussed on the road and you will get quite good results.
one problem is there though. for me lower and higher beams make much difference. that is they are quite distinguishable and both are quite good but the vehicle coming from the front is not able to see much difference between these two. This is because of the general illumination. or may be i m using a chinses product and its not that good
if possible go for Philips HID xenon ones. cot i dont know.
I asked the SVC guy that is this better or can i do something else to get more proper beam. he said HID se better you wont get. projector is the only thing which you can add.

i need some help regarding nitrogen in tyres. I have read that it is better as its inert, doesnt react with tyre material, more stable pressure as temp is low too.because of this chances of tyre burst decreases. It was suggested somewhere that if you ride more at a speed of 80-100kmph you should use nitrogen. it is actually true.
i want to know whther nitrogen affects ride quality? in a positive manner or negative manner?

Svc manager ordered the clutch cover and it will be changed as soon as it arrives.
Dont know why right side clutch covers are more prone to paint peel off

When i asked my local mechanic he said to better stick with 35W rating bulb...if we put 55/60W bulb the rheostat may get damaged.Originally posted by rohanblade View Postguys m planning to replace the headlight bulb have shortlisted these two options from philips. which one would be suitable? kindly advise.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Everything looks fantastic. Soon this going to be a tough competitor for Yamaha fazer. Overall gixxer sf looks good compared to fazer version 2.0. Also Suzuki will best Yamaha fazer 2.0 in pricing to attract customers. Let's wait & watch.Originally posted by vjay View Post
there are some good parts we can take from the new Gixxer SF.
1. clear lens indicators
2. better looking satin finish exhaust shield.
3. handlebar clamp.
and who knows more parts after seeing in person...
