In your case that paint peel off might be due to the serious quality issue mine starts to peel off after the water wash in the svc during the free services but i wonder that why do the peel off occurs only on the same spot on the clutch case ?
Did u mail to suzuki regarding this issue?
Mine first case was changed before me when i first complained in the suzuki website. They dismantled it from the new bike and put it to my bike infront of me.

Congrats.... Monoshock level 3 is the factory setting. To adjust, we suggest you to take it to scv. Level 3 is neither soft nor stiff.
Ur bike wheel strips looks nice & contrast to the bike's color but thickness of the strips is more than normal. Just wanted to say. Don't take it serious.

I haven't emailed Suzuki as the SVC guys agreed to get it replaced straight away when I told them about the issue. Will closely monitor the new part once it is replaced and then decide if I should raise a complaint.

Even if detergent corrodes that part, the paint should last atleast a little longer(say an year or two) before it starts peeling off. Paint peeling off after the first or second wash is unacceptable.

True. This shows the poor quality of painting. Anyway if they r replacing from another bike check weather it is from 2015 batch.

I've had my Gixxer for about a week now, and it's proving to be an easy bike to learn on.

I've noticed a few things with my bike that may be issues with my bike, or normal, I'm not sure.

                  1) The bikes engine doesn't start easily with the headlights on.
                  2) While downshifting I tried to go from 4th gear to 2nd directly a couple of times, and landed up in 3rd both times. Is it possible to skip gears while doing changes?
                  3) The headlights are very weak. Can I install more powerful bulbs without making any other mods?
                  4) I've only done a 100kms and am just learning how to ride a bike. I used to ride mainly in 2nd and 3rd gear during the day, and never felt any engine heat. Last night I was riding in higher gears (but at less than 4000rpm), and I could feel the engine getting hot. There was also a noise like a tak-tak coming from either the engine or some loose part at low rpms, I couldn't really tell. The bike was running smoothly though. Is this a normal part of the running in process?

I'd also like to buy a chain that I can use to both lock the bike and secure my helmets. Is this a good idea, and are there any recommended ones? How long should the cable be to pass from the front wheel, to the leg guard, and sometimes to a hitching post. Something with a holder on the bikes frame that I can wrap it around when not in use.I was thinking of this: Buy FUJI Cable Lock 10x180mm Key Online at Low Prices in India - Amazon.in or http://www.snapdeal.com/product/viro...-cayman/646865

I'm also thinking about buying a tyre inflater. Can the battery take the load? I was thinking about getting this : Blackcat Liliput Tyre Inflator: Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike

Can I get these things offline? And where in Pune can I find them? I'd also like to buy reflector tapes for the wheels.
I live near NIBM, in Pune.

And finally, I'm thinking about going on a ride to Lavassa next weekend, starting really early at around 4.30 am. Is this advisable for a bike that's still in it's running in process?
And I've only been riding a bike for a about a week, are there any parts of the journey that may be too difficult for a noob?

Following this thread for past 4 months. Bought my first bike, Blue Gixxer (asked for 2015 model), a month ago. I must say it became so easy to choose Gixxer all because of you guys. Thank you so much. Sharing my experience so far,

                    Total KMs ridden - 600kms
Approx mileage - 55kms (res-to-res method only; tested thrice with 3 ltrs of petrol; got ~165kms all the three times)
Riding style - Very cautious (never beyond 65kmph, smooth acceleration), 95% normal + 5% slow/traffic rides.

Tyre pressure was at higher side during all these days, 25/36-psi; changed it to recommended 29/33 just yesterday.

No issues with bike. No paint peelings.

I went to pick up my number plates today, and had to climb a steep ramp with a narrow entrance to get to the showroom. I gave it to the service centre guy to navigate and he said the steering was too tight on the left side, and asked me if the bike had fallen.
It hadn't fallen with me, but when I took delivery both the pillion grip rails had a couple of scratches, and the rear indicator light on the left side was slightly loose and slightly scratched. The showroom guys told me they'd change the pillion rails at the first service, and I didn't bother about the indicator lamp then.

But today, when they asked me if the bike had fallen, I brought it up, and they said they'd deal with it at the first servicing.

They loosened the bolt on the steering, and did some adjustment. It's much better now, and I'm more comfortable at low speeds. But I feel there's something not right. When he was checking the steering, it turned one inch more towards the right than towards the left. The mechanic told me it was because the disc brakes on the right, so the wheel turns there more easily at a standstill.

How do I check if the steering column is not damaged? This is the first bike I've ever ridden, so I don't know how bikes are supposed to feel.
The bike was a bit difficult to steer when I first got it, but I thought that was because it was my first time on the bike. Now, it's much easier, and I have a lot more confidence at low speed steering than before.

There are no vibes, and the bike seems to be maintaining a straight line, but I can't be sure. I'm not confident enough to ride with no hands yet.

I also mentioned the sound I was hearing, and the mechanic told me not to worry, it would disappear by the first service.

So do you feel any difference about tyre's grip using nitrogen and normal air?

i think all bikes have a slight lean to the right side... because the right side of tyres comes more in contact with road...
but in your case make sure because from what u have mentioned the bike might have had a small fall while the ASC guys handled it...

anyways... nitrogen is better for tyres since it has a much stable temperature & runs cooler than oxygen...
