Guys I think some serious problems occurred in my Gixxer , need some help on this..
I bought my Gixxer couple of days ago and when I rode 12 kms from showroom to home the engine was heating bad with some faulty smell.
I can feel the heat a meter off from the Gixxer.
Is this because this is a new bike or there is some serious problem.?
This happens very often when I go for a ride more than 10kms

Don't worry, this happens to every new bike. It's a new engine and there'll be a lot of friction. Don't worry about it, just remember to give breaks during long rides.

Let me make this generic. This is a road bike. Meant to be ridden on roads and streets with full finished roads. But our roads are full of potholes and water and mud stagnate during rainy season and on peak summer, fine sand and dust occupy these roads. Since this bike is not meant to be ridden on this kind of road, there is no modification given by the company as such to prevent accumulation of dust. If you wish to have your bike clean without any modification, just clean it now and then. Else you have to modify it on your own and deal with any problem that arises upon modification. You can't avoid dirt, dust and sand on our roads.

The rusting part can be complained to the service centre and if the warranty is valid, they might change it. Else, if it doesn't require any change, they will find a way to polish it and make it new.

          Have fun, safely!

I was thinking of a bent wheel but you said you got it replaced. Now its time for you to check the cone set and/or loosen/tighten the front forks. Also check the front tyre for any damage or improper inflation.

Be safe, get it done first and then ride!

This is just a sample video I took off the internet!

Mine wobbles like 20% to 30% of what we see in this video. I took it to the SVC again and they did something with the front forks. Haven't taken it to the highway again yet. I always keep the tyre at the right pressure as mentioned in the manual. Some 2 or 3 extra psi's but nothing more than that.

@rev : Now I know your feelings bro. Yesterday afternoon in a rush I took Kakkanad to Infopark main gate road to reach office (That road is shit now, thanks to PWD pipe line installation). After that 3km road, when I reached my office both me and my ride looked like we are coming after a off-road race. See the pic attached. I have no idea how the heck the mudd gets this much perfectly every where of the bike. Lesson 1 learned : Never drive in muddy road, unless you are ready to wash it just after the ride. It took an hour to clean it today morning. Still there are few stuck in engine portion (right behind the front wheel). Hope it won't be a problem till first service (ride is now at 350km on ODO).

Even 1% wobble is a fault. It can be made perfectly straight! tyre pressure is the last one to be checked. You haven't taken it on the highway, but how is it inside the city?

Use this as a chance to clean the whole bike now and then :P Just deal with it

Hmm..I have travelled extended periods at those speeds, and the vibes were quite neglible for me. As for the mirrors..check the mounting and see if they are loose..it shouldn't shake too much.
Its difficult for me to say bro, I will need a ride on your bike to feel the exact difference[emoji2] ...but u can say this...the bike is a breeze to ride at those speeds and behaves quite well with neglible vibes....

I too did my 1st servicing today @790kms

                    Engine oil-270
                    Chain lube-42
                    Labour charge-90
                    =402

Ideal rpm of mine has also been set to 1.5
Dont worry.. its the accurate one

Handle bar bent?[emoji15] i have a friend with blue gixxer who did an accident and then his handle bar bent to the left..he made it correct tho.. but he sometimes feels as if the bike is going to the left... if you feel the same then ask at SVC to check again..

Chain sound i too had before servicing... they lubed it..with Motul chain lube.. while returning home i felt the noise again but a bit lower.. so i put the bike on full stand and placed it on gear.. gears 1 2 and 3 had no noise.. but as i kicked in 4 n 5 it sounded as if something is moving inside the engine.. i got afraid n went back to SVC.. there the head technician took it for a trial run.. when he returned he said there was no such noise..also he told me to sit behind for another ride so that if i hear sounds again.. he took me n blasted off!! He was cornering at 77kmph!! I was like i am gonna die today[emoji37] ... anyways.. i didn't notice any sound then.. then i told him to do full stand n check..n there was the sound... then he explained it was normal because of the just new lube that was put on the chain n that the sound will go away after sometime.. n it did.. in the evening while riding it was smooth.. no sound... the lube was setting.. only sound was if i put on full stand.. i guess its because of the new lube n the engine oil...
At the end..my bike is more smoother now[emoji4] [emoji5]... don't be afraid of noises... its normal.. also i hear a sound in the engine while i hold the clutch and without accelerating...i guess its because if the new engine oil setting in...

                    Chill bro..enjoy your ride

Love my Black Beast.. get watchers everytime on the road..[emoji41]

Thanks bro for the response. i never met an accident but always felt that handle is bent towards right from day 1 but same was the case with my previous bike and service center technician always denied that. but this time there was a bent , technician told me that while loading unloading from truck this happens sometimes and i dont know how sc guys fixed it. still after first service i feel there is slight bent in handle but when while riding if i take of my hands from handle, bike goes straight never felt bike going left or right.

and also some time's i feel bike is choking and and getting out of breath when i change gears. is it common or something in my bike.?

Compared to other bikes, this is the best in composure and confidence it inspires at those speeds . I'll live with the vibes and enjoy the ride it offers . Cheers

Bikes in the 150 to 160 CC segment under one lakh. Also gave a tough time to an old Karizma as I was right on it's tail. That sums it up for our beloved baby GSXR
