So here is my first mileage report :
Bike completed 531km with full tank to reserve. Which means 531km for 9.6litter petrol. So doing math 55km per litter. Very happy that the bike came up with such an attractive number even in Kochi's stop and Go traffic.

Pull in(disengage) clutch while doing 60 - 70 kmph, if the noise still exists then may be it's chain.
Note : O-Ring chain needs a proper warm up, say 10-20 km ride.

I wanted to remove the mudguard extender but monsoon started showing up slowly. Damn I dislike monsoons. Can't go out all day. But should I say? The tyres urge me to stay on road all the time

How are you planning to grow food crops, forget water supply for households and possible hydroelectricity, etc.

A cab driver came to me and asked: Is "MARUTHI" making motorcycles? Is your bike made by MARUTHI?

I've been busy and couldn't follow the thread, its good to see owners are enjoying Gixxer very much.
And congrats srinath2494 for deciding on the purchase after tooooooooooooooo much interrogation.
truelypulsarian - small update I am using shell advance ultra pure plus oil for the past 1100kms and I didn't notice any ill effects mentioned by you(I had similar experience with ELF Moto Tech though).

That's cool but from my personal experience with shell FS oil is completely worst. Drained the oil at just 500 kms for the peace ✌ of mind now with the stock oil the bike is performing good.

Did I say monsoon should stop? Huh? I just voiced out my opinion.

If a person doesn't like your existence, can you go out of this world? Just that the person has to tolerate your presence each and every time. Just like that. And don't tell me that you don't have dislikes and likes.

I used "interrogation"(it was intended to be funny) because I remember you PM'ing me about Gixxer about 3 months ago. And so much queries in various threads.
If you still have my message in your inbox, please check it, I appreciated you for your maturity at such a young age.
I think Gixxer induced some aggression in you.

I get the pun :P My reply was intended to be the same :P Unfortunately I deleted all the messages. As you say, mine were queries in various threads and PMs only :P Gixxer has made me calm and slow :P

Even I got an average of 55-60km/l during the initial period, which I thought was a calculation error, but now, I think that <4500rpm (~65km/hr) that's what one can expect. (city/highway 60-40)
After crossing 750kms, I've begun revving a lot harder, and generally up-shifting only after nearing 6000-7000 rpm, and I'm now getting about 45-50km/l. (100% city)

The problem is that the bikes a different beast once you cross about 4500 rpm, and it encourages you to rev hard. Once on it, it doesn't want to let you get off, and it doesn't want you to slow down!

Down shifts still make that thud sound. Also now the bike revs freely from 4k rpm that I'm always tempted to Rev close to the redline. Overall very satisfied with the oil but not as i expected. You can surely give it a try bro..
Its thicker oil than stock,

Motul 7100 is meant for long tours on 200+ cc bikes reducing number of technical breaks during the ride.

Anyway since you are using it on 150 cc engine, after you cold start start the bike, please make sure to run the engine in idle condition atleast for 30- 45 secs.
The thick oil takes time to flow freely.

Usually for a vehicle the maximum wear and tear occurs during warm up period. Since the oil wouldn't flow as easily as your stock grade, applying load before warm up will increase the wear and tear.

Yes, once the oil is upto temperature you feel a world of difference like smoother shifts and lesser noise from the engine and gearbox.

Happy riding.

Check if the thicker oil affects the oil jet at the bottom of the engine. It is designed to spray oil at higher revs as part of SEP tech. Best is to stick to stock as the stock itself is motul and its better than most other bike's proprietary/stock oil in the category.

As you asked for, but guessing why on earth you wanted this.
This thing just struck me out of the blue. From the time of purchase, I had an odd feeling about my user manual. I got one with sf picture on it but with the name gixxer. So I took out this photo posted some pages back. Inside my manual, some of the pictures shown as models are gixxer and some are sf. I now don't know even the proper tyre pressure mentioned in the manual is for gixxer or sf or both share the same air pressure and other specs? Also I can find some tips explained with the older hayate/slingshot models in the beginning pages of the manual. Maybe there is some mechanical similarity, but is my manual the right one?

I am attaching the picture here.

Also, I found one more thing that makes me think mine could be sf's manual

Maybe gsx150f is sf's codename? Or even gixxer is called the same? I would prefer gsx150 though :P

So now, should I get my manual exchanged?

But I believe, since its a new lot, the company has made a manual common for both the versions. I don't know if it's true though. The gixxers which came before sf was launched could have had a manual exclusively for the naked version too. Needs to be checked.
