Hello fellow mates, have anyone of you tried custom painting your bike to matte finish, especially black colour.... I have an idea of painting matte black to my bike, but I don't have idea how it really looks.

Help me to get a clear cut idea on this.

    Ideas and advises are welcomed!!

    Thank in advance.[emoji2]

You showed anything done in SF can also be done in naked bike.

Please share your experience with the 300v 10w40

I am using Motul 7100 10w40. Its better than Suzuki stock oil. Engine is smooth.

                Crashed my Gixxer.

                Parts to be replaced:
                Rearsets
                Pillion pegs
                Exhaust guard (SF's)
                Saree and crash guards
                LHS grab rail
                Front fender and wheel alignment.

How much does it cost me to get it done?

Sure. I'm stuck with work since yesterday and din't have the chance to ride the bike. Before the oil change my bike wasn't vibey and gear shifts were pretty smooth. I will be pleasantly surprised if there is a noticeable difference after the oil change. Will try to take her out for a spin as soon as I get time and will update you guys .

That's sad. Most of the cost will be covered under insurance after depreciation.

Is it necessary to replace oil filter every time while changing engine oil.

                        Absolutely yes!

Took out my bike for a short spin (around 8 km) now and the bike feels very different.

Upshifts in my bike was always pretty smooth and downshifts were relatively clunky. I could see that both shifts are much smoother now. I'm sure the rpms have gone down significantly (din't measure it earlier though) and the engine doesn't feel stressed even at higher rpms. So I could upshift much later than what I'm normally used.

I am used to having a decent engine breaking upwards of 6k-7k rpm. This time around when I approached a red signal and I downshifted I could see that engine breaking is no longer as strong. It could be either because the rpms for the speed has come down or because the bike has become much smoother. Either ways, I have to get used to this change.

I wanted to do a top speed run. My previous run was 111 km/h with throttle totally pinned. There was a lot of traffic and couldn't measure the top speed. I am confident it will be a bit higher.

I can only compare this experience to Suzuki's engine oil; it's much better and am very pleased, especially for long distance commuting.

What is the difference between Motul 300v and 7100? Which is better?

Changing engine oil won't alter mechanical ratios => no change in RPM to speed mappings.
You might notice better acceleration and heat dissipation (even mileage).

Engine braking : engine vacuum during every intake-stroke
Lowered engine braking => engine vacuum efficiency is reduced => keep an eye on oil-level

PS: Feelings cannot corroborate actual figures.

7100 : Single ester (street, general public use)
300v : Double ester (race track use)

7100 series are cheaper than 300v series, 300v are better than 7100.

You might be totally right. Just that the machine is significantly calm and am not used to this dampened sense of feedback, if I may; especially during engine breaking. I am used to getting a lot of vibrations during engine breaking which gave me a feeling that bike is trying hard to slow down. I guess I have to readjust myself to the new dynamics of it. And of course, I am enjoying every bit of it.
