Rusting is not a problem.. But still get a checkup at the SVC... Even my friend's Fz v2 disc plate has rusted a bit.. Thats not a issue..

        This is very easily removable.

Plus use the bike often if you've not been using it.

Non contact area of disc rotor is powder coated, the coating is called "dacromet coating"(process of coating is same as powder coating but the coating is cured at a higher temperature at a longer period of time) the same is also used in coating nuts and bolts too, if the coating is not thick enough rusting will occur, this will not hamper any braking performance, asking a replacement of rotor for this rusting issue is too much.

I've tried using coke to remove rusting on disk and no luck
Contacted SVC and they told that I can change the disk break upon claiming it
Got call from SUZUKI head office today

                Sad to hear.

Have you tried using petrol or kerosene? Or any other Mild spirit that doesn't react with metal?

I remember once I had the same situation and petrol did the job.

We have one common solution which is taking it to SVC!!

Thanks for your suggestion bro. But I have already enquired and the person was like unaware to fix it. Carefully observing, I think we need to loosen the two screws towards the wheen side and then adjust the two holders that hold the chrome crown I guess. Expert advice would be helpful.

I did it with very mild dose of petrol. And once the rust went off I had lukewarm water to wipe off the area and immediately used another dry cloth to get rid of wet/dampness.

For over 3 months now, nothing has changed. No harmful effects.

It is very easy to fix. Had this issue so many times while parking. Take the exact Allen key and loose it. Remove the chrome cup. Last time when i removed the chrome cup, saw some rusting inside the cup. So i applied a small layer of petroleum jelly to prevent from further rusting. Once removed the chrome cup u can see the iron holders on the left & right.

We need to adjust the 2 left holders towards swing arm side. Match the 2 holders in perfect position then adjust the right holders fitted with rubber cap towards same swing arm side to get the grip hold.

It usually take less than 5 mins.
