Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Thanks for answering Habshan Dynamo. Today i went to local mechanic he lubed the front sprocket with oil and voila...noise was gone. I was happy but after reaching home i checked it and sound came back, though when i roll the rear tire opposite of its direction, it does not give the sound. iam bothered about what this problem can do to the sprocket, any ideas ?
Will ask them, also my swingarm is not aligned properly on both sides i noticed, will it help if i align it?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I raised the same question 2-3 months back. But I checked engine cover of apache rtr 180. Problem is it has only side fitting & the cut way for exhaust in the engine cover won't match properly. So I dropped the plan.Originally posted by Hitesh100 View PostCan any one tell If the bottom engine plastic cover(just like the Apache one) can be installed to my naked gixxer as installing the whole faring is out of my budget so i would be happy with the bottom engine faring

There is no connection with swing arm. Don't touch it knowingly or unknowingly. Just ask ur scv or local mech to loosen the small sprocket to align it to straight. Chain is not evenly locked into the sprocket. In the long run sprockets tip will get the hit. Even now u can check the sprocket side teeth for damages if any.

Hi @Lunatic Fringe,Originally posted by Lunatic Fringe View PostHi, friend. Me too from Kerala. Congrtaz on ur new purchase! The website quotes the price as 94885 onroad, including mirrorset and sarry guard. So what is the extra 3k for? And can u comment on the mileage u got so far?
I asked them the same question as you did since their website was quoting only 94885 on road but they said some weird reason. The ex showroom price is around ~85k+road tax ~11k+insurance ~2k+some accessories like number plate and buzzer added up to 98k. I got around 50 kmpl but i did not try the tankful to reserve method so this need not be accurate. I will post updates after my next fill up.Last edited by mmkUNI; 04-26-2015, 09:10 AM.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I tried a few times but in vain. Though I am a novice still I can pull up the front wheels on my P180. The front biased weight of Gixxer is keeping it from getting raised.Originally posted by Dynamo View PostIs anyone tried wheeling in gixxer ? But I tried the rear tyre burnout for few secs.
And thats the reason I do burnouts every now and then :P They're too damn easy given the torquey low end of the bike. The sense of freedom these two wheels give can never be matched by anything else...

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Gixxer is one easy bike to lift the front up! Pop the clutch around 4000-6000rpm! To make this easy have a full clutch setting :P Until you get used to it you ll tend to pop the clutch automatically :POriginally posted by Avinash666 View PostI tried a few times but in vain. Yeah. I'm totally confused. Someone said clockwise for lean mixture & anti clockwise for such mixture.
Have you got better mileage after tuning the carb?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yeah the person is right apparently. I'll tell ya, the screw is a pilot screw, since it's on the engine side. So it controls the fuel flow. Tighten the screw(clockwise), which means less fuel flows, lean mixture. Loosen the screw(anticlockwise), more fuel flows, rich mixture.
About fuel mileage, I don't know for now, because I did it after first service last week, because SVC tuned it lean. I filled full tank like 2 days back, I'll let you know once I hit reserve.#Gixxer

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
OK. But I want lean mixture for better mileage. I decided to tune 1 full turn + & - after filling a litre petrol in exact reserve. This way is easy for us.
