I've only been riding a motorcycle for 3-4 weeks now, and I took the bike for it's first servicing yesterday, so I haven't crossed 4500rpm yet, and my max speed was about 65km/hr.

The bike is pushed sideways by crosswinds. But, at speeds of 45-65 kmph they didn't bother me much. You have to compensate, but it's not something that strains you. Again, I don't have much experience on bikes, so I don't have anything to compare it to.

Wind blast wasn't really felt at the speeds I was travelling at.

The suspension and riding position are comfortable, and the engine was pretty smooth and not strained even on the ghats, and I wasn't fatigued even after 4-5 hours of near continuous riding, so I'd say it's cruising ability is good! In fact, I didn't really want to get off the bike once I got home!

Trust me this is the best bike in 150cc segment.

I have completed 5 months with this bike and 4500 kms in that period.

Engine is now really really better than it was earlier. Engine is so smooth that it reaches 100 kmph in no time. Also I have reached top speed of 121 kmph.
Maximum mileage I got is 58 kmpl. (Highway cruising, & normal riding in city with rarely touching 70 kmph)
Minimum mileage I got is 39 kmpl. (Totally rough riding, so this mileage is also great)

Those who complaining about hard gear shifts, ask svc guy to help you to make it smoother, also don't expect it to get smoother below 2k kms range.

Got the first Service done today.
After I picked up the bike, front sprocket was making 'tic tic' noise and the rear brake pad was touching the wheel a bit even without applying it. Bike felt weird. So I took it back, told the guy about it. He goes for a test drive, and he's like, "it's not a problem at all, don't bother it". I said, it didn't make the noise this morning and it's not supposed to, So fix it !
So he takes it inside and asked a mechanic to fix it. Problem solved. Now that I came back home, I find the engine oil level is not at fullClick image for larger version

I called up that guy in SVC and told him about it. He told me the level will increase after the bike cools down for an hour. It's been an hour and it's not full yet. I highly suspect they filled only 850ml instead of 950ml because the oil filter has been replaced.

P.S. This was a nearby SVC, not where I bought the bike, maybe next time I'll take it to the main SVC.

Blue gixxer looks way more cooler than any other color scheme as well as fz v2 .
I'm seeing that YOU guys are paying almost equal to what it takes to service a Ns or r15 . What is this robbery ..!

Buddy no need to worry. Park the bike in center stand for whole night. Check the level in the morning without starting or moving from center stand & the level should not go beyond level F. Then remove the center stand and ask someone to hold the bike straight then note the level same again. Now start the bike run for 2 mins & stop it. Then wait for 2-3 mins. Here is the level u need to watch out for. This should be in the exact middle with holding the bike straight.

I have been following this thread for long but never seen any one mentioning the drawback of gixxer of not having indicator auto cancel, not side stand warning , no battery hazard indicator , no backlit switches .

It also doesn't have a beer chilling portable refrigerator, a gas turbine , some chips and a flying spree.
Want all of that , shell more and get a Ns/duke/cbr/all up. Right now ,This bike gives bang for the buck

My bike is producing chik chik sound on 1-3 gears. I check wid free wheel n brakes but that's not point of concern. I showed it to svc n surprisingly it wasn't reproducible there. Again when I came back home i was getting that sound again. The sound is clearly audible in our parking.

Anyone wid similar pblm n any solutn???

Dude , it was sarcasm ,if you can get it and beside ,I don't own a 150cc biker or gixxer per se. Not to brag but I'm proud owner of ns and r15 + RC 200 in effective collaboration ,which have a lot of things...
