I experienced the exact same thing.
New oil, plus proper air and full tank, bike gave me 47 at 85-95, bangalore-chennai.

From chennai-rameshwaram and return to Bangalore bike gave me ~35.

The only variable that I could pinpoint was Engine oil quality.
Do let me know what you think.
Just changed to MOTUL 7100 FS. Plz read prev. Post. I will let everyone know how mileage changes for my next trip, if indeed the variable was Engine oil level.

Also, I feel how the engine behaves behaves once fully loosened and warmed up. The way it picks up speed once you throttle past a 100 is really pleasing..maybe fuel flow gets effected..dunno...clutching at straws here

I've gone through online sites amd checked few headlight with 55w and 60w (osram ,Philips)
Please suggest me with good one having white light and bright vision

Gixxer is good for long rides. How ever, carrying luggage can be tricky. No place to tie bungees....

Few things I want to share with ya'ol

1. Dibrugarh is very rain prone area, so cleaning everyday is a pain 😓

2. When downshifting from 3rd to 2nd Gear does not engage properly and part of display where gear is shown goes blank !!

I am following this thread from a loong time ( but missed some pages)
So, someone please help me explaining this to SVC guys.
And any suggestions would be very helpful

I've been taking a pillion on my bike since the last 10 days. The bikes engine doesn't seem as smooth with the extra rider on board. Does the chain need to be tightened a bit more when the bike is carrying extra weight? I'm about 60kgs, and the pillions about 50. When I'm the only one riding it seems fine, but with the extra weight it seems to take a rev or two to engage the gear/chain whenever I shift up or down.

I've discovered a few things about the bike in the last few days.

1) Taking a second passenger affects the pickup and power noticeably. It doesn't affect the speed too much, but the bike has to be worked harder to get to the same speed.
2) If the tyres air pressure is low the bike is a bit unsteady.
3) The bike doesn't feel/sound great until it crosses 5000 rpm.
4) When I was riding solo I got an average of about 53km/l, and with a pillion it's about 43km/l with the pillion on only 50% of the time. It was my first time taking a pillion, the tyre pressure wasn't always high enough, and I was riding in a gear lower than I usually do.eg. 3rd instead of 4th for the same speed.
5) The headlights alignment gets a bit off with the extra weight.
6) My pillion didn't have a complaint about the suspension/ride quality, but she did find the seat a bit hard, and found her high position from which she had a clear view of traffic scary. She may get to enjoy the view later on, but she doesn't right now.
7) The bike scraped a speed breaker only once, and as long as you're going over them at a speed that keeps pillion comfort in mind you probably won't bottom out the suspension.
8) My suspension is still at the default factory setting. I think adjusting it will make a positive difference to handling with a passenger on board.

The second issue that u mentioned. I had the issue. The svc guy told me that its bcoz of clutch. Its needs adjustment. So after my 1st service it was ok as he did the necessary adjustment. But after sometime it has creeped back.

Philips xtreme vision - not having white color

If any have changed their stock head light to philips/osram ,please help us with your comments/quotes.

Guyz i have replaced the stock bulb with philips x-tream vision plus.

I was in confusion to replace stock bulb with X-treme vision 130+ or HID.. Supplier didn't suggest.So i went for HID..

HID is extremely brighter, you can identify with bright while colour light. No warranty for that since its china piece.

Dont know about Philps X-treme vision light colour and brightness but after seeing above picture it looks great..
