I have also noticed that the choke does not work only when engaged fully.....that is there is steady increase in RPM when choke is applied after starting the bike....but when engaged fully stalls the engine.......does this mean that the butterfly valve is not functioning properly or the fuel is extremely rich....cant estimate mileage as have done 100km only with full tank fuel left ??

Almost all carb bikes stall with full choke when used while running. Use choke only when the temperature is too cold for the bike to start. Else it just wastes petrol due to excessively rich mixture. As of now, there should be no issues with your bike since the behaviour is normal.

But my bike does not cold start with choke.....I am only saying that the choke is partially working I.e by using it to warm up the engine after kick starting in cold....then using choke and sseing change in rpm..

What may be the issue guys need all your inputs. Before I take action as it is summer now and bike is new dont need choke now...??

In cold weather conditions, there will be more oxygen per unit volume of air. So there is enough oxygen to combust the extra petrol. So in relatively warm conditions, the choke will cause the engine to turn off. Just like an extra rich carb tune.

Gave my bike for 2nd service today & taken from scv this afternoon while coming home I noticed a noise from chain. Just a U turn to scv complained the same. He refused that there is no noise from chain. Then the mechanic ask me to sit on the pillion and he starts my bike with sudden vroom with some sharp close calls to pedestrian, then he drove the bike to main road. Here comes the revenge. He accelerated heavily with some sudden disk brakes @ speed breakers. I noticed that he revs my bike in 2nd gear @ 7k RPM. As soon as he reaches scv he told that the noise is gone. I told him to realign the sprocket & chain. Now the noise gone.

These mechanics are uneducated & handling the bike very badly. Also no respect to the owners.

Can anyone tell me - revving the bike in 2nd gear @ 7k RPM will damage the internal components ?

Not much unless you do it regularly.. But such revs without proper warmup will have long lasting results. Don't worry bro. It's a new bike and after second service, run in should be over.

Run in is over & I feel the smoothness. But the way he was driving is totally unacceptable & this shows his anger.

Hey guys I'm back. I've done about 3500 kms now . took it to 120kmph a couple of times. still loving every bit of it.As usual I look look unto thee for guidance.,oh wise elves of xbhp; for I am distraught..

I am a tall(ish) person; becoz of that and due to sheer force of habit from my prevoius bike, I have to swing my leg over-the-rear to get on the bike resulting in my baby blue giving me - shall we say say love bites(sigh.. the things we do for love). the back of the rear grab rail has sharp ends.they poke my calf's and draws blood every now and then.one of my friends got his pants torn.he absolutely refuses to sit behind me now .iwas considering putting a sticker over the end to reduce the sharpness. has anybody faced similar issues if so have you found a fix for for it ?

Then theres the case of "the disappearing gear". if I am cruising along at 60 and come to to a full stop (usually due to an on coming vehicle) I am unable to unable to right away shift to 4th gear. the gears get stuck between 5th and 4th,the console sear indicator turns blank and I am unable to move out of the way, crucially, when the reason for stopping is glaring down on me honking madly, bleeping swears. is this due to tight screws ? what should i tell the service people to get it fixed ?

Lately I've noticed vibrations from the front wheel but those turned to be under inflated tyres. Apparently my tire guy does not believe front tyres should be given 29psi also it has rained a lot in the past few days.should i clean the chain more frequently if driven through rain?

I am planning third service this week.Last time I asked they said they were using castrol 10-40 .should I buy my own oil or just let the SVC use their brand? if so which brand.any information on the prices would be helpful anything I should be anything else I should tell them to to check ? thx for reading

Probably the first and last one facing this scratch issue :P okay while it is hurting you badly it appears a little funny on hearing it for the first time. No offense though. try to bend your knee while getting on and off. tell your pillion to do the same. Because no other tall rider faces this issue. Don't tamper bike's looks with sticker. Those sharp lines are epic. And also please remove the tank bag :P Just a small request :P

I don't think he may be taller than me bcoz I'm 6.2'but as of not I didn't face this issue. As you told we need to bend our knee little bit to sit on the seat. I too have the same kind of pouch fitted on the tank but it is very useful for me to carry something. I know this will not look nice.

                                Hey Guys,
I took my from 3rd SVC yesterday, and was exit I g when I noticed an odd print in the bill.
Oil and filter had 20w40 listed. When I inquired into this, they showed me the box, Jaso ma2 certified Motul 20w40. I asked wasn't the standard a 10w40 MOTUL , and after a while of arguing , they left me convinced that its a motul 20w40.

So here is the question to you guys. Do I keep this oil or empty and refill a 10w40. More so, isn't the standard a 10w40???
I think sandeep has tried quite a few engine oils. As for my current si-synthetic, I can feel a better degree of smoothness now, especially in the powerband of 50-65. Also, I really can't feel any apparent drop in power.
This switch in oil seems too good to be true guys. Please help me out[emoji27]
