That's speedo indicated 131. Dont forget to wear all the gear. Ride safe.

Gixxer has 10 kmph faulty speedo. Actual speed is always 10 kmph low at high speeds. GPS tested.

Hey guys.. I picked up a standard Black Gixxer in March this year from Gem Suzuki in Kondapur, Hyderabad. I have really enjoyed riding it. It has satisfied my street fighter enthusiasm with its pickup, decent gear ratios and superb handling. The brakes lack bite and that's probably the only downside.

I met with an unfortunate accident - A skid after I lost control of the bike going over a massive pothole. I was at 95 kmph.
                1. There was a slight bend in the front tyre rim,
                2. The handle bar had bent towards me on the left
                3. The footrest on the left broke.
                4. The left side crash guard bent and needed fixing.

The service center (Gem Suzuki, same people) recommended claiming insurance, but I didn't even get my number plate by then due to lack of time off from work. So, I couldn't claim insurance.
Anyway, they said the front tyre needs to be replaced + handle bar needs to be replaced. They set expectations of charges being around Rs. 6200 since I wasn't going to claim insurance anyway.

After the repairs, I got my bike back, they replaced the front tyre, but completely seem to have ignored the handle bar and haven't really done anything to fix it even after repeated mentions. They broke the left RVM and said it broke because I had a fall - I got that replaced after telling them that apart from those 4 things, nothing else happened after the fall.
My mistake was that I overlooked the handler bar replacement and only realised it when I took a good look at it in daylight. I wanted to go back to the service center, but it seems that arguing with these guys is only going to make matters worse for me and the motorcycle. I will still go there and try to get this resolved politely.

Anyway, the point of this post is that if you are in Hyderabad and are planning to pick up a Suzuki two-wheeler, stay away from Gem Motors in Kondapur. I have had many issues with these guys starting from getting an original form 22 for registering my bike to their pathetic service on the bike. I had read reviews about these guys and I decided to give it a shot, but the reviewers were right about staying away from Gem Suzuki for peace of mind haha.

Back to the motorcycle: The Gixxer has been a fantastic ride so far. I use it for my short commute to office and back home and I'm waiting to get this handlebar fixed before I start touring. Will keep you guys posted on everything else.

                Cheers and happy riding!

Hi guys my bike has just completed all the free services, now I want to customize my bike. I want to install clip on handle bars, change the bulb etc. When can I do that all without voiding the warranty. In short when does the warranty end?

Then just go on with the mods
Just the warranty of the parts which you modify will be gone
                              Not the whole bike
If you mod headlamps the electricals will be gone
And if you mod clip ons the triple t clapms will be gone
And so on and so forth
