Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Change the air filter every 12k kms or 8k if the riding conditions are very dusty. For gixxer, when you replace the air filter, make sure the rubber gaskets (which ensure good seal) are replaced too.Originally posted by HeManu Yeluri View PostHi, Any one changed air filter assembly ? at last service Mechanic Told me to change in next service. now i completed 24200.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Completed 44,000 Kms on the ODO today...
- Did a Chennai -> Bengaluru -> Chennai solo trip few month back, Approx 700 Kms in less than 28 hrs time. Fantastic tourer..
- No backaches, no body pain.
- Bike still feels solid.
- No rattling of any fibre parts.
- Though initial pickup is still good, acceleration in few gears feels slightly sluggish. (Is this cause of worn-out clutch plates?)
- Don't know when i need to replace clutch plates.
- No issues with electrical's.
- Digital speedo meter was reset only once in the last 2 yrs (Some malfunction issue).. Think quality of electronics is real good.
- few times encountered false neutrals.
- Have been consistently cleaning/lubing chain every 1000 - 1500 Kms. (Motul C1/C2)
- Topping up engine oil intermittently as when & required. (Fully Synthetic oil from Suzuki service center)
- Guess about 6,000 Kms left for the extended warranty to expire
- Looking forward to the Gixxer SF FI, Expecting ABS too
(the moment it is launched, will swap my Gixxer for it)

Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys I noticed something strange today when I was getting petrol filled. The key slot in the petrol tank cap has oil in it ( the kind which you use for oiling of door hinges) when I took the key out the key was slick and had a slight oil coating on it. Is this normal?? Please see pic
You can see a few drops of oil in pics. I can confirm it's not petrol.Last edited by prab1990; 07-26-2016, 04:22 PM.

I smelled it to confirm it's not petrol. Is this normal?
Double post by mistake how to delete??

Yes its normal. Even the ignition port will be oiled slightly so as to facilitate smooth travel of the key.Originally posted by prab1990 View PostGuys I noticed something strange today when I was getting petrol filled I noticed that when I put the key in the key slot of petrol tank cap it is coated with oil (the kind which you use for oiling door hinges) it is not heavily coated just a bit of oil.
