I have the same coat and there is no such harm. I get it done every six month. Anyways if you are not sure abt it then go for this

      Formula 1 Carnauba Paste Wax (230 g) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B0060HVCEU/..._kiLUyb6WGNBQ1

All these "coating" business are hoax . Teflon , Ceramic etc are very hard solid substances with very high melting points and there is no way to "coat" painted or plastic bike or car surfaces with them . Other than being very unnecessary .
Get a rain cover for your bike , keep it clean and exposed metal parts oiled . Keeping under rain cover all day isn't too good either , because that traps in the moisture . Best is to allow the bike to dry quickly whenever it gets wet . You can use wax polish for maintenance on painted metal . Plastic isn't harmed by rain anyway and doesn't need wax . Use WD-40 on bolts and electrical joints / switches etc from time to time to prevent corrosion .

Are their any problems due to low ground clearance in Gixxer. Is it ok in bad roads, potholes ? I was going to buy Gixxer (BS4 version), but the low ground clearance is an issue for me?

Not at all, I m having sf, when riding solo there is no problem at all, with a pillion we need to slow down the vehicle at speedbrakers to avoid hitting.otherwise there is no problem of ground clearance.

Hi guys ,please help me with the issue I'm getting very low mileage of around 34kmpl.It all happened when I asked them to inspect the valve clearance and they fiddled with it in the 3rd service. There's no tappet noise from the engine, but the mileage is dropped.

                  1800 Kms Update

After the first Service gear shifts improved slightly, not smooth as FZ but not so hard either, a rather reassuring feeling with no false neutrals so far, and never really needs a gear indicator but having it is a boon.

Initial Acceleration is rapid with ample amounts of torque in the low-end with well defined gear ratios. Drastically better than FZV2!

Handling is Razor Sharp. If you think about leaning in to a corner it somehow reads your mind like the banshee from movie Avatar..It does what you want it to do.

Braking is super strong with great bite, stops confidently giving good feedback, way better than my old Duke200. Never used the rear disc brake even once till now..

Ride Quality- Hard, almost as hard as my old Duke 200! Making matters worse is the almost negligible and foam less rider seat. Damn, it jitters with my buttocks and wrecks my spine in some of the poor roads/bumps in outer suburbs of Chennai.

But this is also a big advantage in smooth roads inside city and expressways, where along with the 140/60 section rear tyres aids the already superior handling.

Headlamps are really poor and offer an excuse for visibility, pushing the bike to it's limits in the night are scary. Thinking about getting an LED from Aliexpress soon with similar wattage.

Overall a very satisfied experience with the new segment benchmark.

Hope Suzuki brings a Gixxer 250 soon to make things interesting with the new FZ25.

Photo taken near Red Hills Dam, Chennai.

                  Cheers!

I am thinking about buying a gixxer so I need a opinion. IS the gixxer pillion seat too small for a 50+ mid sized woman to ride as a pillion. Also, how is the quality of the rider seat . Please reply.

Like I've said in a few posts above, the stock rider seat is hard, has almost negligible cushion. The pillion seat is tiny and has no cushion. This creates butt-aches on bad roads over a period of time, due to the stiff suspension of Gixxer.

These are my impressions from using my brother's Gixxer SP. We're planning to get more foam/cushion and better seat cover soon.

Please get in touch with a nearby showroom and experience the bike with pillion to see how it works for you.

                        Cheers!

Almost all the 150cc+ "street fighters & semi-sports" bikes currently available in India don't have a comfortable pillion seat for our moms and aunts. An aftermarket seat is necessary for practically all the options available. Gixxer is no different.

I have heard bad pillion seating reviews even for the sofa like RE-Classic seats, that giving backaches to female riders. Only exception I've seen so far is - Thunderbird, which my friend's mom apparently could handle.

                          Regards.

I own a gixxer and the pillion seat is bad..firstly its raised and since the woman i am
guessing is your mom will be sitting sideways will be hard for her.the pillion seat is small and kind
of slipppery whenever i brake even slowly my pillion slides forward.pillion seat is much better
on the hornet.am not saying its impossible to sit,but its going to be hard.

guys first of all this not gixxers engine..its a image of hunk.am using it for reference so you guys get an idea of the area am talking about.took this image from xbhp itself..
so for the past few weeks i have been noticing that oil is leaking from the engine head stud/nut.its not actually leaking.i can see oil around that one bolt.sometimes the areas is like damp.there are two bolt on top of our engine head and the one on the left is where the problem is.its just wet oil is around that bolt.so what can be the problem.the svc casually took a look and said to replace the entire engine head.please help,i cant get a clear picture of that area.

by leak i dont mean its oozing out but taht bolt is kinda surrounded by sticky oil.
