Black smoke on revving is also a sign of running rich.
Other symptoms include black exhaust tip, easy cold start, reduced mileage, black sparkplug tip etc.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
My inputs:Originally posted by SatSon View PostLooks like your bike has run only less kms. It is advised to switch to fully synthetic oil only after 6k-8k kms.
The performance issue couldn't be attributed to this though.
1. If SVC guy is not educated by Suzuki well, please self-educate your self. The Service manual mentions periodic service items, follow it for optimum bike performace
2. As engine oil has been drain and refilled, change oil filter in-case not done earlier
3. Engine oil capacity is 850 ml (if oil filter not replaced) and 950 ml (if oil filter is replaced), please check for oil level by placing bike on centre stand. Level accordingly.
4. Check of breaks if those have been tightened more than requirement
5. Check chain slack
This should resolve.... safe driving.

I think you quoted me by mistake. I am not the one who is having issues with the bike, I don't have Gixxer eitherOriginally posted by Sasank View PostMy inputs:

I was just noting down my suggestion on the original query.

My inputs:Originally posted by bhs89 View PostHello Xbhpians, this is my first post on this great platform. :-)
I am facing a minor issue/niggle with my Gixxer, during my 2nd scheduled service, (2nd feb), the svc guy suggested me not to change the oil since it had run just 1400kms since the 1st service oil change and told me to change the oil after 2k kms. Last week I completed 2k on the odo, so I went and changed the oil to Motul 10w-40 one. (didn't change the oil filter) After the oil change bike feels weird, the engine has become very rough during usual revs and bike kind of lags pick up. I went with this oil after hearing and reading all the positive reviews. Am I missing something? Does the engine take time to get used to fully synthetic oil? Could someone enlighten me?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Guys, I'm literally sick of how the personnel at Ayan Suzuki Ajmer treat their customers. The way they talk is outright rude. I've been tolerating them for quite some time now, but the water has gone above the head. The workshop manager snapped at my father. I've fired 2-3 emails on their website. Does anyone their customer care number or official email? Gotta teach them a lesson on how to treat their customers well.

Look at the back of your service manual for the customer care number. They are pretty quick at responding to their customers concerns.Originally posted by Fagant View PostGuys, I'm literally sick of how the personnel at Ayan Suzuki Ajmer treat their customers. Every SVC comes under purview of a Suzuki's official Area Service Manager and details of the concern person is mentioned in SVCs display board. If not, you as customer have to right to get this detail. Please get your issues addressed to him. Remember, SVCs are dealerships and do not represent direct employee's of Suzuki. So address is to Suzuki's officials in assertive manner and get it sorted.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
My POV, above approach is a rather time consuming and takes around trip to contacting Suzuki, as I said in my previous post calling up the customer care number (India tollfree) on the service manual is the direct way to contacting the Suzuki. Your area manager himself will get in touch with you post the call. Speaking of own experience here.Originally posted by Sasank View PostThat's sad to know.
