Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
there's still moisture left after "just" wiping off. you might get away with just wiping in warm weather but not during monsoon or winters. I'd used anti-rust spray like WD40 for a while and that did it for me.Originally posted by Prasad Vogooru View Post

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
I wash bike with clean water, (pressure wash if a/v only on wheels). And just don't use normal soap/detergent to get the foam. I use vehicle body shampoo (like speedwav) after washing bike with water. WD anti-rust when needed and motul shiner a few times a month. all set then.Originally posted by Prasad Vogooru View Postthank you IBHP '

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Bro after every wash, spray mixture of diesel n kerosine on the bike except the areas like fairing, tank, headlight n other places where its not necessary. This periodic spraying prevents occouring of rusts.Originally posted by Prasad Vogooru View Posthello riders
i have one question
how frequently you ppl wash your bikes ?
my bike is just 3 months old and i washed 2 times till now and recently i saw rust formation on front and rear disc plates (even though i wiped all the water )
so i just want to know u r suggestions
thanks in advance...
As its 3 months old, get it washed, lubed n oiled from svc otherwise clean it yourself only when yo find it too dirty. Dont do frequent cleaning, just once a month is enough.
I hope this helps you.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Clean n Lube ur chain every 500 kms. If yo want do self lubing, tutorial video availaible on youtube. Oiling metallic parts are necessary as it rusts quickly.Originally posted by Prasad Vogooru View Posthi presidency

As for the whistling sound, its hard to solve without a close encounter. If yo have a good svc nearby take it for a checking.
Firstly, put the bike on centrstand, gear up n acc/deacc, listen the source of whistle sound.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
My brother bought a Gixxer SP edition three days ago from SMK Suzuki, Chennai due to the Jan offer. He rejected the jacket offered and went for the helmet by paying extra. It was an overall smooth dealership experience is what he felt.
Took the bike for spin, I really loved the supple ride quality, absorbs all the bumps nicely. Throttle response and lower down torque is really good! Early morning cold start too was easy in this strangely chilling January Chennai weather, with a simple kick. The matte finish and contrast seat looks premium and makes it look like an expensive bike!
I shall keep you guys posted as we munch more miles.
Cheers!
