I am assuming you are speaking about the air-fuel mixture screw which is made of brass. You can buy it directly, just check if the screw has done any damage to your carb. Since it is a delicate screw it should not have done enough damage.
The screw costs very less compared to the carb. Have a try with a new screw first. And then maybe you can decide on replacing the entire carb.
If the screw is broken and some part of it is stuck in the carb, then may be the whole carb needs replacement unless you find a way to get the remains out.
Anyways, do let us know your decision.

Obviously the ASC/mech is trying to make money as replacement brings in more money than repair.

Place an order for AFR screw at the ASC itself if not available.

I own a Suzuki Gixxer (2 years old). I was getting a weird engine oil burning smell after riding for 5-10 kms and had a sluggish pickup. So I changed the clutch plate. After that the pickup was back to the original state but I still get the engine oil burning smell. Has anyone faced this problem or know the fix for this?

Should I use a left focusing auxiliary LED light along with the stock halogen....or it's better to replace the stock halogen with a 60 watt Osram /Bosch halogen? Anybody using the LED in the main headlight... please provide some feedback.

Edit: I don't take the factor into consideration that my battery gets affected while changing stock bulbs to higher watts, to me safety during night is of utmost importance.
Go for osram/philips. LED or HID are good only if they are branded (like philips). But they are very costly. Instead go for 60 watt halogen and install two fog lights. Someone posted pics of fog light in this group sometime back. I am using philips xtree vision plus for a long time. No issues. At times I even light up upper and dipper at once for xtra illumination

Usually motorcycle bulbs are of H4 type. Same is the case with Gixxer too.
I suggest searching the thread for answers to your questions.
If search within xbhp doesn't give good results, try googling with search words like "xbhp h4 gixxer". You would get good number of results xbhp pages.
                  Hope this helps.

I had a similar experience at a Hero ASC and had to complain at Hero customer care to get it rectified. You can read the story here - http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1260956
But I suggest you to check the oil level using the dip stick as suggested in the owner's manual before going back to them.

Well bro we don't have a dipstick.. Only the sight glass window and another thing I noticed now is that the rear tyre spins when on center stand even with the clutch pulled in but stops once the bike gets heated up.

Still there should be a proper way of checking the oil level as per manual, isn't it? For Hero bike, it is like warming up for 2-3 minutes and then check the oil level.
Slight rotation of rear wheel with the bike on centre stand - this one I have seen in many bikes starting from Suzuki Max100/Samurai/Splendor etc. This should be normal and nothing to worry about. Not sure on why it stops when engine is warmed up
Something to do with the viscosity of the oil?

I changed the oil myself.last time but this time was too lazy so gave it to the SVC...the engine oil.shouldn't go.above he f mark even if it is an cold engine..checked the engine oil level after starting and stopping ..still at the top..gonna remove the excess oil by opening the filler cap and using suction tube from hand wash bottle..the rear wheel spinning problem.I start the bike..the wheel doesn't spin in neutral..then when I put it in first gear and without releasing the clutch itself it starts spinning. Wasn't it suppose to move when the clutch is released.
