If theres a possibility, i wud really like to upgrade its battery to a higher wattage in future coz led lighting of headlamp, indicators, dual horns is in my wishlist

Hav yo ever felt the horn sound go pale?

Such a good bike with poor battery n lighting.
sandeepcf has been using 60W Bulb+dual horns for nearly 2 years without any battery drain.

This is just my opinion, but I'd prefer to have better lighting than to think of prolonging the life of the battery. Putting in a bigger battery won't change much, in fact the battery may not fully charge.

A normal osram 60w bulb gives a huge difference over stock.

Check chain slack. There should be 1 to 1.5 " slack on tightest point of chain

My stock horns sometimes sound awkward or weak sounded. Guess its due to battery. So how come others use dual horns without facing any probs?

Either you are shifting too slow or get the clutch cable adjusted for both the upper and lower adjusters to correct excessive freeplay.

Actually i am shifting gears up at 3 to 6k rpm depending upon the traffic conditions and shifting down all at a time(from 5 to 2 or 3) while crossing speed brakers or turning
is this the reason for the above problem
earlier i had a pulsar 150 purchased in seconds also i used same patterns there is no problem in that but now in my new bike only i am getting this. even i am getting this gear shift issue in shifting up also. due to this i am not able enjoying my bike like my old pulsar

                thanks in advance

Whether you are shifting at 3k rpm or 6k rpm does not concern how fast or slow you are shifting. You shifts should be immediate. Also the Gixxer gearbox is known to be clunky, no amount of breakin or engine oil is going to fix that, so live with it. I get my bike serviced at my nearest SVC (Malakpet).

                    thanks for the replay xeon
one more question probably the last one
my bike sound is changing after crossing 4k rpm and it is like woooo(basy sound) and when i release the accelerator at any speed bike sound with whistle tone like pulsar sounds when timing chain damged
i hate that sound. i test rode gixxer sf but this sound was not there and other ppl having gixxer also confirmed that they dont have this sound.
what will be the reason behind it and how can i overcome this

                    thanks in advance

i agree. Even I am using 60W xtreme vision for 1 year. No issues. Pale horn situation is there but that happened even when I had 35W bulb.

I am having an issue with my bike. when ever i go above 90 my bike acts all sluggishy like the petrol is about to finish. Then i have to slow it down to 20-30 and drive for like 1km, to bring it back to normal state. I have said the same in the SVC and then it was normal for like a month. And now again the problem appears. What may be the problem?
Is it because of the engine oil? I have crossed 10k kms and i still use the same oil given by suzuki. Lots of posts here states that we should use full synthetic oil after 5k kms, Is it true?
                          anyone..????

I had a similar problem. Whenever I rode it at 100+ speed for a minute or 2, engine died like it ran out of fuel and after restart it was fine but under 70kmph speed only.
I took out the rubber mouth thing from the airfilter and tested again the problem vanished, so I replaced the airfilter(rs.115).

                            • Help with LED lights on Gixxer

Hey guys lately I am thinking of the lighting in my Gixxer. Should I use a left focusing auxiliary LED light along with the stock halogen....or it's better to replace the stock halogen with a 60 watt Osram /Bosch halogen? Anybody using the LED in the main headlight... please provide some feedback.

Edit: I don't take the factor into consideration that my battery gets affected while changing stock bulbs to higher watts, to me safety during night is of utmost importance.
