Usually yes they do, why do you want to buy at SVC?

Speaking of personal experience, these are available outside at exclusive Mrf outlets and other multi brand tire outlets where you could buy (even bargain) and get it for cheaper price than at SVC with free fitment too.

May be you could call and enquire at SVC and other tire outlets just to be sure before making your purchase.

    Cheers

Completely satisfied with the stock. In fact you have very few options available for the stock rear size, either Revz Y found on FZ v2 or Revz M comes stock on Gixxer. Otherwise you will have to upsize for other tire options.

I found stock tires to perform the best on Gixxer. Rest is upto you. All the best and let us know which one you bought and the price too.

          Cheers

Took the bike for spin, I really loved the supple ride quality, absorbs all the bumps nicely. Throttle response and lower down torque is really good! Early morning cold start too was easy in this strangely chilling January Chennai weather, with a simple kick. The matte finish and contrast seat looks premium and makes it look like an expensive bike!

I shall keep you guys posted as we munch more miles.

                      Cheers!

The SP Helmet looks very gorgeous and it perfectly sinks with the paint theme of Grey SP.
How much extra you had to pay, as the info I collected from Suzuki showroom guys, the price of the Jacket is 1700 and Helmet (SP) is 2200( MotoGp Blue Helmet - 2300),
Is the pricing correct? I mean the Helmet looks super awesome, I think its a better choice to go for this Helmet when someone is buying a Gixxer SP.
One more thing, any idea what brand is the helmet and which model's modification/ stickering work is that? Studds?

                      ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

                      Guys, please solve my dilemma

I love the Blue Gixxer which was released as the first bike(without Rear Disc brake), currently Gixxer SP too looks very appealing to me,
One thing about the disc brake, I don't ride at high speeds, I'm 99.9% in the city roads, a long journey of 250 or 300+ kms journey would be too rare too.
In the city I would be riding mostly around 40-50kmph or 50-60kmph, I had a chat with a showroom dealer guy, he told me that you can choose the Blue Gixxer without
the Rear Disc brake, it would NOT add to the maintenance cost every time and replacing it is around 5-6 times less the cost of disc brake and the bike itself costs 4,500 - 5000 less than the SP(Dual disc).

                      So, my Question is

                      1. Do I really need a Dual disc variant? The whole purpose of very high speed BRAKING is itself merely absent for me and the cost factor too!!

                      2. Is it good to buy the very first bike(Blue) when latest ones like SP edition are out with Clear LED rear light. The Blue bike is taken off from the website and
according to some showroom dealers its manufacturing is stopped. But somehow I'm getting it in one or two showrooms.

                      3. and lastly, this is about resale, would Special editions and Dual disc variants generally fare well in the Resale/ used bikes scenario?

                        Hi

Yes, I also liked the SP edition helmet. Its a STUDDS brand. It also has another functional feature of secondary darker visor internally too, to protect eyes in bright sunlight. We found this later

My brother paid an additional Rs.250 after declining the jacket, is what he said. Might differ from every dealer I guess, not sure.

Regarding the SP edition with Rear Disc. I guess you can go ahead and buy it. We will anyways be braking only using front disc brake 99% of time. The front brake is very potent in Gixxer with good feedback, stops instantly. The white rear light now looks well overall grey theme.

Regarding resale/drum variants. These minor things any buyer will overlook, all a second hand buyer needs is a well maintained motorcycle. If that is satisfied he will not worry about rear disc or drum brakes. Also if production is stopped for drum brakes it kinda makes me feel not that good if I were to buy it in the market.

                        Cheers!

Thank you, that definitely helps. I'm still at crossroads between Gixxer and Hornet, I took a test drive today, felt the ride awesome, I found the gear upshift from 3 to 4 little on a harder side, it was not as smooth as I thought it to be.

I took Pulsar's, Fz's and Apache's out of equation, but its a big tie for me regarding Gixxer and Hornet, its literally like 50-50 for me. Can anyone en-light the differences between these two bikes, it would be great. One very undeniable fact regarding Honda would be its greater resale value.

The 3rd -> 4th gear issue gets smooth after riding for some 500-600 kms as it happened with mine. I don't know how many KMS the test bike covered which you tried on. Coming back to the obvious Hornet vs Gixxer dilemma. To be honest, it is really a close call. Hornet lacks an engine kill switch (which I do find to be important) and the display isn't as loaded as the Gixxer. In terms of build quality and engine refinement both are pretty close. That apart, do ride them back to back if you can before making your decision. Read the ownership reviews of the respective bikes out here and countless reviews on Youtube (Powerdrift / Motobeam) might help you decide. I was looking for Honda Unicorn CB 150 at first, before I thought of Hornet. I didn't know about Gixxer at that time. Got the Gixxer SF finally and I don't regret my decision. Was worth what I paid for.

Gixxer is the king of 150cc naked bikes, i dont own one.
My friends have both gixxer and hornet.

Hornet is more like a commuter bike.
Its an evolved Unicorn160, where as Gixxer is Gixxer only.
At present Hornets have lots of issues, you can see the Hornet thread also.

I would any day suggest Gixxer only, because its one of a kind.

                              Cheers bro 😊

You can never really go wrong with both the bikes. Both are great seeing the many reviews. Hornet only misses the gear indicator and engine kill switch.

In Gixxer gears are a bit too hard initially but after first service should be fine is what the riders in our forum say. The only negative i find in Gixxer is 140/60R17 rear tyre. Since the sidewall is less, it feels bumpy/stiff on bad roads of Chennai. But on smooth tarmac it just glides. Hornet has a 140/70R17 rear tyre. This in theory should give better ride quality. Can't comment on this, since we never took a test ride of Hornet.

Our Gixxer has covered 690kms in less than ten days. Don't know whether it will be good idea to service at 750 kms or 1000 kms.
