    XBHPians...
    BELIEVE IT OR NOT

Coming back from college my fuel tank got dry completely,It was planned for checking the FUEL EFFICIENCY.

I had Reliance petrol of ₹70 on a 1 litre FROOTI bottle
    1 Litre fuel costs ₹74.45

My Suzuki Swish 125 did 68.4 kilometers for 70 rupees petrol.

    Yes no can believe it.

    68.4 kilometers
    UNBELIEVABLE figure.

*Speed kept above 30kmph and below 50kmph THROUGHOUT*

    🔵🔴🔵🔴 *68.4Km per ₹70 Reliance petrol* 🔴🔵🔴🔵

      Hi Guys,

Issues with my Gixxer are piling up like crazy. My bike went through its 6th service schedule post which I have started facing very hard engine braking when I am under 4K Rev. I basically let go of my throttle without engaging the Clutch and the bike goes through very hard engine braking. It's as if I have squeezed my rear brakes.

My friend rides an SF and I haven't faced such an issue with it. I rode FZs just to confirm the same and damn! Gixxer is sure having something wrong with it.

Also, is the ShriShakti Suzuki Service Center trustworthy? I purchased my bike from there. All my Gixxer's services are being carried out by them but my experiences post the last 3 service has left a room for something or the other.

      Awaiting a response

Thanks again for the advice but how can I procure the parts ?? I don't mind paying extra but am still skeptical about this things ...

You can get them at service center itself. Either can get installed from there (make sure they give back old parts) or get them and install yourself. You might have to order them since Suzuki dealers are infamous for not stocking enough parts. (Plan B is to find a blue Gixxer owner and convince him to swap the parts. And of course there is plan C, paint them Blue ).

            I want to know what's Gixxer's and Hornet's mileage

If same person rides both vehicles, in similar roads, similar riding conditions, styles and speeds, which is the winner between the two?

Both Hornet and Gixxer will give above 50kmpl, if ridden economically.
              Cheers.

50km/l is superb on a 150cc premium category bike, I would be happy if I get 50 as I drive economically.

I have ridden both Gixxer and Hornet, I don't feel the Peppiness in Hornet while comparing it to Gixxer !!

Is it only me who is feeling that? Because the Bike was not as new as the one as Gixxer, but I have done multiple test drives in Gixxer, the enthusiastic ride feel is completely missing in Hornet,

I've particularly observed the vehicle's motion from 1 -5 gears with full attention, I feel Hornet is more of 'Matured laid back bike'

SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS GUYS, now for me Ride Quality is too important keeping aside the cost factor and mileage factor and The Suzuki service center is also 1km away from my home, thats good for me.

Guys, I'm quite close to finalize Gixxer, I've done my search and study on it, thanks to xBhp I got lot more than what I initially thought of knowing, so just to wrap it up and as a Summary or Final call ---- Tell me why exactly Gixxer ( I'm positive about Special Edition ) and why not Hornet, please including the ''Ride quality/ engine peppiness'' too to it.

Thanks in advance guys..... Your comments/ replies will make me Finalize the ''first bike from Suzuki family to my Home''

After seeing the issues faced by hornets thread, i would say get Gixxer itself, yes gixxer is peppier, Hornet has more power at top end so you need to use the throttle more to extract more juice.

Most of the time i heard Hornet is more refined, I personally felt the opposite, even when ripping hard, Gixxer doesn't feel that strained like Hornet.

                  Cheers.

If the engine braking is that hard ,you probably running on a very lean mix,get the carb tuned to optimum AFR @ the svc that'll solve.

Ya. Just remove the seat and keep it near first aid kit. U can keep anywhere. It should not block the air filter under seat. That's it

To add to your confidence, my 3.5 months old Gixxer SF (1st servicing done) is giving me 54 km/l in stop and go city traffic. Should be similar with Gixxer too.
