I came across this Suzuki marine by motul Engine oil online. It is mentioned as 10w40 Semi synthetic. Any thoughts on this? as planning to change oil soon.

I'm interested in get the Gixxer SF's belly pan installed on my Gixxer. When I enquired the Suzuki service center personnel discouraged me to do such a thing and said that the belly pan is moulded in SF. So I am sceptical about the after effects on my bike. Could you please put some lights on this topic?

The SF has mounting points for the fairing welded to teh chassis of teh bike. Thats what the SVC personnel meant. You cannot simply attach the SF's engine spoiler to the naked gixxer. .

Are there any after effects of installing this belly pan on engine cooling or performance?
Also could you please guide me about where I can get this modification done safely in Bangalore? If any known contact please do provide his number ..

              Hello folks,
Has anybody found a solution to the rusting of the fork screw, I asked the svc guy about what could be done and he said "nothing" with a shrug because it wasnt too much rust.
Has anybody reached out to suzuki about this?
              I've attached pictures
PS: I live in an extra humid coastal area.

Get yourself an anti-rust spray can and spray it yourself.

                    WD40 does the trick?

It does but you will have to use it more frequently. I cannot say how frequent but as per what I have read, its usually every weekend. If the humidity is heavy then the frequency will increase accordingly .

After riding 10000kms on my unicorn 160 and 3500kms on the gixxer, I can say that both perform very similarly, the unicorn being more comfortable.

The SVC isn't that good, but befriend a technician, and you'll get good results.

I must say, Michelin pilot Street is just amazing. Good enough for cornering, touring, little offroading as well. Well worth the 3.3k I paid for it. Went on pretty rough roads in Bengaluru, yet I've not had a single puncture (touch wood ). Has good grip on wet and slushy roads as well.

The rear brakes aren't that great, they keep squealing and screeching randomly, though the bite feels adequate.

Mileage - getting around 38-43kmpl I guess, I don't bother anymore as long as the bike runs fine.

Overall a good buy, but I still miss the unicorn.

                          • How to protect the bike during rains

Guys, rains have started where I live in. Since I have no prior experience with owning a bike, I want to know how to protect my Gixxer from the rains. I have to park the bike in the open at work since there is no shade anywhere nearby. So it is exposed to rain for at least an hour daily (the rains started two days ago). Should I get some kind of anti-rust or teflon coating? Is there something else I should do? I own a Gixxer SF SP.

Get teflon coating and bike cover for sure. If you have good budget then get Pro Ceramic Coat on ur bike.

                              Happy Riding!

I've heard people say that Teflon is basically harmful for a matte finish. So I'm a little reluctant on it.
