Is there any way to lower the rear brake lever ? It's kinda higher and I hate it. I've the rear drum variant. Gear shift lever is higher too but that's manageable. I guess Mr.Motoblizzard will be able to help me. 😅

Yes you can lower both of them.Originally posted by StreetWeapon View PostIs there any way to lower the rear brake lever ? It's kinda higher and I hate it. I've the rear drum variant. Gear shift lever is higher too but that's manageable. I guess Mr.Motoblizzard will be able to help me.
Best to take it to the SVC and get it done.
For the shift lever, you need to disconnect the "Gear shift link ARM" from teh "Gear shifting shaft" and turn it anti-clockwise for as many teeth as you need and reconnect the ARM.
For the brake pedal, I dont know about the drum variant but the rear disc variant has a master cylinder with an adjuster screw for the brake pedal position. For the drum variant if I am not wrong it has a ROD from the pedal to the brake cam lever. At the point where the rod is connected to the brake cam lever there must be some kind of adjustment option. Try that. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE

I usually do little fixes by myself and generally I take it to a local mechanic nearby. (He's an Ex.Hero and Suzuki chief mechanic. So he's experienced and knows what he's doing. Labor charges are reasonable too. I've been pretty much happy with his works.)
There's a spring that connects brake pedal and the footrest. It can be tweaked somehow I guess. Will see and report back if I'm able to fix it.
An off topic question: I have seen your comment on Vikas Rachamalla's Intruder review video. Have you ridden it ? If yes then what changes have you noticed as far as engine and transmission is concerned ?Last edited by StreetWeapon; 12-29-2017, 08:22 PM."If you want to be happy

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Yes, I actually rode a customer's bike which was getting delivered to him. We had a talk and he was gracious enough to allow me to take it for a short spin. I felt the engine was more dampened and the transmission smoother than the GSX. These were very surprising conclusions for a first impression because thats not how a new GSX150 behaves.Originally posted by StreetWeapon View PostAn off topic question: I have seen your comment on Vikas Rachamalla's Intruder review video. I have a rather long list of first impression points but I am waiting for a Intruder ownership thread which again surprisingly no one has started yet.
P.S: Like I mentioned in the youtube comment, no Suzuki dealership in hyderabad has gotten a Demo bike yet (dont know about other states/cities). So I would advice any Hyderabadis to avoid taking any test ride at the dealership because that same bike will be sold to an unsuspecting customer. I got lucky with the customer on the spot. You dont get to come across such scenario very often.

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hi guys !!
I recently serviced my bike and now whenever I'm in traffic and release the clutch in first gear ,I can hear some sort of sound from the chain ... Is it something to do with the chain slackness??
And also I ran over a pothole yesterday and then suddenly some sound started coming from the front wheel , is it possible that the rim is bent?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Hello guys!
I recently tried to tune the carburettor and set the idling @ 1.5k rpm and while tuning the fuel screw to the leanest point there were no changes in rpm and the bike didn't stall and die like it should .
What could be the problem?

Re: Suzuki Gixxer 155
Change the oil filter if you can and get the oil strainer cleaned as well. Thats all that is required at the 100kms. After that you can follow the maintenance schedule as stated in the manual.Originally posted by 8reaper View PostI completed 100km run in as stated , will take bike to SVC for oil change tomorrow. Anything else to be changed?
How are you cleaning your bikes? Is water wash enough?
BTW got the studds shifter helmet (blue white color)
For washing use car shampoo and a wash mitt for painted surfaces. Use a medium sized microfibre tower for the wheels, engine bay, swingarms, rear fender and the rear tyre hugger. (Dont confuse a tyre hugger with a splash guard)
As for helmet, you should have spent more and gotten atleast the MT Mugello since its ECE certified. Or you could have searched around for MT Kranos. Kranos has been replaced by Mugello but some stores still have old stocks of Kranos. For My Gixxer Related videos: Click HERE
