Replaced the chain sprocket kit with a Rolon made one. Stock set lasted over 32k kilometres. Yes the stock Suzuki chain is durable😍. And i think Rolon will outperform the stock chain set.😊

Guys I've purchased a cheap mobile holder it's not holding the phone firmly. What do you guys use? Suggest any good voice navigation app please.

        Weird issue I noticed today.

The bike goes straight, but the handlebar and upper plate seem to be turned to the left.

Put the bike on centre stand, and this.

Basically the tyre and the forks+handlebar aren't aligned.

Any idea what might have caused this and how to fix this?

Nothing to do with tyre. Fork is misaligned w.r.t the handlebar. Go to an SVC and tell them to adjust the fork alignment.

Hi all, three days ago while going to the office my bike stopped in the middle of road after a few hiccups; had to haul it to the SVC. The mechanic couldn't find the issue that day. I left the bike at the SVC (Hyderabad). I checked with the service guy, he did there's an issue with the current in the bike which usually takes time to identify. I just want to know, if it's normal/safe to keep the bike at the SVC for 3 days. I just got the 3rd service done last month.

Why do they need 3 days to figure out the problem! Have you done any modifications to bike? Fuse will blow off if there is a problem with current.

Thanks for the advice, fixed it myself.

                From this-

                To this-

Loosened the pinch bolts of the lower tree and gave it a good shakedown a dozen times, and voila, it's fixed.

Luckily I got the bike yday evening. No, there are no modifications done, it's a plain vanilla one. Apparently there was a loose connection in one of the electrical circuits. I don't know but they said it took time to figure out that it was the electrical circuit causing the issue, coz it's the last thing they check. Also, the mechanic explained it took time in testing the circuit at various points. Bike seems to be working normal so far.

Hello guys. How r you all doing?
Lately I am hearing a sound from the engine. It's like a lugging sound. Mechanic told me its the cam chain tensioner. So I wanted to ask how much will be the price of a cam chain tensioner?

                          Quick update from my side.
                          Second free service-1100km-dealer:Aryan Suzuki Domlur
                          Service experience was pathetic.
I took shell semi synthetic engine oil with me. The SA was telling me engine warranty will be void as it is not approved by suzuki.but I argued that they only had idemidsu. Since the bill was less the SA was pushing me for chain lubing.i have complained screeching sound coming from real brake at low speeds which is not addressed.i am pretty sure they haven't done any thing on my bike except cleaning and changing engine oil.

Same thing happened with me at ABT Arumbakkam, Chennai; gave the same excuse that warranty will be void, so had be to content with motul engine oil, just pay some extra 100 rs to the mechanic even before the start of servicing, he'll do his best to limit irrelevant services and charges.

Hello, I am thinking of buying a 2nd hand gixxer or gixxer sf, Can you guys give me some pointers about things I should check before buying. Also, is there any persistent problem in gixxer or sf?

                              Thanks in advance.

What is the cost ? O-ring chain right ? Also share a pic of ur old sprocket to see difference.

                                ----consecutive posts auto-merged-----

I have my 3 yr old Gixxer, speedo clocking 38k kms & still using the stock tyres ( front & rear ) chain sprocket set. So far so good & there is no issues. I used to change engine oil every 2500 kms with oil filter. I use ELF MOTO4 10W40 Semi Synthetic oil.

Recently i was facing some kind of sluggishness & i was asking my SVC for servicing my bike but they told me to come next week & it keeps postponing. Then i decided to replace sparkplug NKG CPR8EA-9 ( Changing 2nd time ) cleaned air filter with pressurized air gun in local SVC & paid Rs. 10. Dismantlement carburetor & cleaned nicely using syringe with petrol. Seperately cleaned pilot & main jet with small copper wire. Adjusted AFR screw back to same position 2.5 turn in anti-clockwise from full tight. Now everything is fine.

But i need a genuine answer for this.

Periodically i change engine oil but i didn't cleaned the filter( metal mesh inside the engine ) Do you think it is worth ?
I didn't flushed my engine so far with any engine flush. Is it advisable...
